Steady on, Can had an excellent game. This is a team game, it's Liverpool FC - not just a vehicle for your favourite player.

I said Emre was fantastic in game. You quoted my post.

No chance he was better than Bob, though.

And i have a kit with Emre's name on the back and don't have one with Bob ;)

From what I heard (on radio) it sounded like Matip was superb.

Excellent performance that. I thought we played very well in the first half and could have had a couple more. Second half West Brom certainly came more into the game when they had to and we really should have killed it off, first with Milner early on in the half and then later with those crazy break aways but still we didn't surrender more than 1 big chance.

      Ratings:

Mignolet: Another solid performance, thought he commanded his box very well indeed to be fair to him and that was a good save when needed. Anticipated well and came out as quick as needed. Didn't dither in possession as much either, granted he did keep just hitting it long but it was better. 8/10

Milner: Not a good performance, should have scored, offered nothing going forward and allowed too many crosses into our box. 6/10

Lovren: Thought he was dire in the first half, got caught out on the edge of the box trying to step in front when there was no chance and he takes too many risks. Better in the 2nd half. Needs to cut out the long balls to nobody. 6/10

Matip: Made one mistake all game, thought he was superb, love the way he carries the ball and was almost into their box with one mazey run. 8/10

Clyne: Most over-rated player at our club. Shocking performance, dire in attack, dire in defence, worst player on the pitch. (until Moreno came on) 4/10

Lucas: Fantastic performance and lovely assist! Dominant in the air, won almost all his duels, showing there's life in the old dog yet, really enjoyed that cheers Lucas lad. 8/10

Gini: Thought he was invisible in the first half, but was much better in the 2nd when WBA became stronger and that's what you need I suppose, someone who steps it up as things get tougher. 7/10

Can: Another top performance by Emre, dominant in possession, dominant in defence. Strong in the challenge and a really encouraging display, really stringing them together. Hear what the lads are saying about the contract, hope it's not that and it is his true form shining through now because he's been exceptional recently. 8.5/10

Coutinho: Thought he was the weaker link in our attack. "Coutinho shoots" is his name again because he's thinking of nothing else, had a few occasions where he had much better options, some of them clearly better options and not using them is really poor play. Did track well and put in a shift though but I wasn't impressed with that display at all. 6/10

Firmino: Got his goal well, should have had a couple more assists, one on a plate for Milner. Tracked brilliantly, ran the channel so well and created massive amounts of space for others. In the first half he was truly outstanding and only dropped off near the end of the match. Shouldn't put us in danger with that silly turn near the end but apart from that it was an excellent performance once more. MotM 9/10

Origi: Better, thought he did the hold up play well but probably doesn't realise just how many things he did wrong and how many chances he actually had. If he could learn those first 2 yards that are so crucial and up his anticipation level (which really come together) he could be a top player but right now they hurt his game so much that he becomes very frustrating to watch. Did have some excellent moments though and in the end was a mixed bag for him. 7/10

Sturridge: Didn't really see him do much other than get frustrated with his team-mates. Fair enough he was clear for the Moreno nonesense but dancing around in the box when Emre just over-hit the pass was a bit silly. You've just come on, we're 1-0 up in the last minutes, get the f**k back and help out!

Moreno: Moronic. If you shoot it has to go in when you have men so clearly open, it didn't and you were a prat for shooting. Certain goal if you pass and highlighted where it's all wrong with him, right between the ears.

Jürgen, got it spot on! Lucas was the perfect option for this game, they don't have people that can hurt him in terms of pace and he looked so good back there defending their endless balls raining into the box. First time we've beaten a Pulis side at home in 10 and that says it all! Well in Jürgen, showing that cap wearing f**k-nut how it is, we deserved to win more comfortable but it's almost all the sweeter that it was so close because it will piss that little f**ker off even more. 8.5/10

      GET THE F**k IN THERE!

Apart from the one time when he got turned too easily by Rondon, he was excellent. The amount of times he went past 2 or 3 players and player it through the midfield to start an attack was great to see.

Moreno should've passed or scored, poor decision making.

For balance, though, he done very well to make the chance a possibility all on his own.

Notice Lucas with the ice pack on his knee. Copped a knock during the game and still carried on to put in a magnificent display.

3 at the back against these kind of teams works. Not to blow my own trumpet but I did say it would earlier in the season, as it gives us much more defensive solidity and a solid base to launch attacks from.

A slightly dull game in parts but I thought we were in full control with quite a few more gears available if we needed it.

But Moreno, you fecking moron, how in the name of F**k, did you miss the goal OR not pass the ball and who was the player at the end who also beat the goalie and then didn't shoot at goal, a harder chance for sure but still a chance. Honourable mention to Milner's miss as well!

But a very important miss and from my calculations a bonus 2 if not 3 points, that CL place is looking better and better now but no room for complacency.

You could see why he was brought on when he won the ball. He brings energy and persistence late on in games when others are tiring but his decision making needs a LOT of work. His technique was woeful too.

Take this all day long against a Pulis team. Missed the second have but absolutely thrilled to have put pressure back on our chasers.

It's F***ing mad when you think how bad our January was that as it stands there's only 9 points in it.

Hopefully in a couple of hours it'll be twelve points. 😉

1 point from 12 against teams that were in the bottom five at the time between January to February.

Shot ourselves in the foot and undid the unbeaten run against sides around us during the same period.

Is Moreno wearing knickers? May be that's why he missed.
