FA to start issuing diving bans
      May 18, 2017 03:26:16 pm
Players who dive in English football will face bans from next season under new Football Association regulations.
Under the new rules, passed by the governing body at its annual general meeting on Thursday, a panel will review footage from the weekend each Monday looking for cases of simulation.
Any player unanimously found guilty of diving would be given a suspension.

Yeah right, let's see them enforce that for more than the first three weeks of the season.

Hahahaha spot on, probably be well forgotten by about October, you know like that all players swearing at refs to get sent off that they said was going to be happening this season. That's been well forgotten about now!

You'd imagine so mate, as long as it can get policed properly. We all know how bad the FA is at applying their own rules.

That's the end of Ashley Young's career. Marcus Rashford weighing up his options. Isn't that right Keith?!  :P

Blatant way to pick on Lucas this. Attempts the first dive of his career a few weeks and what follows it?! this new ruling. Yet years of diving from the likes of Young having gone unpunished.

On a serious note though, I can't see this lasting long. Will be like their attempt at giving penalties for defenders grabbing hold of the opposition in the box, the refs had a few weeks of awarding them but it's soon vanished again.

It's a positive step. At least they're trying to do something. How successful it will be is a different issue.

What will work is when the video ref comes in. Nobody is going to dive or push then.

If you dive during a match and the ref sees it it is just a yellow but if he doesn't then it is a two game ban, hardly fair is it ?

A 3 or 5 match ban for cheating the ref into giving a penalty is what I'd like to see. Let's not forget chelski is on top of the list.

Even they shouldn't be able to screw this up.Hell, they should be  able to watch one or  two replays and make the decision during the game. It's usually not that hard. I'm sure the standard will likely be there has to be ZERO contact for them to vote unanimously in favor  of a ban.

      But.....it is the FA.
