      So Keita has plantar fasciitis?

I'm sure I've smoked some of that sh*t in the past, it certainly affected my feet for sure,

Player number one: he was the busiest player in the league, making 87.4 passes per 90 minutes.

Player number two: he had the best touch in the league among midfielders, guilty of only 0.4 unsuccessful touches per 90 minutes.

Player number three: he was the hardest midfielder to dispossess, losing the ball to an opponent only 0.5 times per 90 minutes.

Player number one: 87.4 passes per 90 min? To what effect ?

Player number two : Guilty of only 0.4 unsuccessful touches per 90 min ?  What the F**k does that even mean ? Typical useless throwaway stat.

Player number three : Hardest Midfielder to dispossess ? Well when you kick the ball backwards or sideways within a second of getting it  i can actually see why that is.

We should be calling him FOJH .

If the player truly is not for sale, wouldn't they just ignore it? Clubs talk with one another all the time, and not in the public eye. Liverpool would get some idea if it is a possibility before ever leaking out the prospect of a move (if they did). So this kind of public posturing seems more likely to be about sending the right message to each set of fans. Doesn't mean a deal will be done, or that a deal is even being pursued. I'm sensing a trend here.

We need a CM who can produce more, or get it rolling much faster then hendo does. We need a real link up player who gets it out from the defense and pass it to the attackers.

What i am trying to say is, stats doesnt paint the whole picture.

Well said. That link was missing many years ago till now. Not forgetting we need a monster right in the middle of the pitch to break up attacks and to immediately switch to offensive mode. If we have that player, we're going to be very very difficult to play against.

Every player has a price. Also they have just managed to get Champions League football and with them not having a massive reputation, it will be harder for them to sign the better players if they are seen to be selling off their stars already. They sell him and the club looks less attractive and less competitive. If this move happens then it will be late in the transfer window once they have gotten a few players signed. At the moment he is arguably their star player, players won't want to go their if they sell him. Be no different to when we sold Suarez. He was our best player and despite finishing 2nd, we really struggled with signings and had to resort to Balotelli.
      IMO.

Just seen his highlights against the Ivory Coast.

Could be way off as it's the first time i've seen him play, but looks like a combative version of the role Gini plays? Gets up and down the pitch and is more of a ball-winner to go with his playmaking duties?

If he's that highly rated and prominent, we won't be signing him.

After the clusterfuck with VVD, it should cement the fact that we, the fanbase should know our club's limits by now.

I think you're definitely correct as to who would sit if we signed Keita.

Of course we have more matches, players get injured, etc. But I think our first-choice midfield three would be Can, Keita and Phil.

Henderson, Gini and Lallana as backups is a pretty good bit of depth, it has to be said.

I'll tell you right now, Lallana ain't going to the bench under Klopp...and I don't know that he should to be honest. So to fit Keita in (who I don't think we are even in for to begin with) would be a tough task I think (a good problem to have mind you).

You listen to Jürgen talk and he always speaks about fluidity and interchangeability; In some ways there are no set type formations going forward as we think of them.

Yes, but there are generally three forwards who do a lot of that interchanging. He also talked about Phil moving from left attack to attacking center mid, so I think he sees some distinction there. Lallana can play both positions, at any rate.

He's a tidy footballer alright; the type who could start in front of any of Gini,  Can or Hendo, without issue (imo).

Jürgen seems to rate him and, by all that's known, we have the money to buy him.

Will RB sell? Will we be the buyer, if they do? Time will tell, I suppose. 😒
