I like what I have seen from Solanke, he is strong, agile and a good footballer. Not sure about him as the SS/#10 as he has been very safe in his play, not what you want from a SS/#10 right?

I think he is one of those big mobile strikers in the mould of, Kane, Lewandowski, D.Costa etc, rather than your Benteke, Carrol etc target players.

One chance, one goal when he found himself in the striker position.

The U20 manager needs to drop Armstrong and play Solanke as the #9!

Is he a lefty or righty? He scored with his left.

I hope Solanke can replicate these types of performances at senior level, he's been quality.

He's gone and equalised against Italy. More than deserved for both Solanke & England.

Simpson has got this England team playing some great football. If Solanke scores in the final he could end up being top scorer.

On the positive side it looks like we've got ourselves a real player in Dominic.

Apparently the best player on the pitch by some distance. Looking like a good buy if that's the case.

Damn, nice to hear. I missed it due to work :(

For anyone who watched the full match, was he #10 or 9 today? And was he really the best player on the pitch?!

Dunno how much stock you place in Paul Tomkins mate but these were his views:

Some very talented players are in that under-20 team and he's by and large one of them. Kenny (Everton), Maitland-Niles (Arsenal), Lookman (Everton) & Solanke (Liverpool) have been my stand out players so far (in no particular order). Shout out to Ojo too for whenever he's played, always put on a good show.

He seems to excel not only at running with the ball but also as a target for defenders/midfielders.

Could be our biggest signing of the summer!

      Possibly even our only signing
