From what I can gather, it’s teams like Spurs that have had the luck this season in terms of decisions are the ones that voted against VAR...no surprise really.

I dont like VAR, think it can kill all momentum and spoil a game with the waiting around. I’d just like the officials to actually be at least half decent at their job and not bias. How some of the penalties we should have had, but haven’t, has been shocking.

The calibre of officials in from england are a disgrace, no wonder they won’t have any at the World Cup.

If I have this right VAR would only be used if the Ref blows his whistle awarding a free kick or penalty, or a goal scored is maybe viewed as of side, so it would not slow the game up that much in theory...

But  I totally agree with what you have said re:- the quality of Referees

I get the calls for VAR, and I wouldn't be against it if it were implemented,  but you bring up a good point. Why does it have to be status quo or VAR? Why can't it be make the referees more accountable for wrong decisions, expect more of them, train them better and have them better placed to make the correct calls.

Maybe instead of VAR we put a couple of extra linesman on the field to help with calls?
      Nice shout

Better team won tonight. De Gea saved them some blushes. Worth twenty points to any team in the top flight.

Mancs have now lost to all the promoted teams this season, as well as WBA. Really do wonder how the hell we are below these, they are like Arsenal but with a world class keeper. Wenger signed Cech on the basis it would get them an extra 15-20 points a season, which certainly hasn't been the case. But, with the Mancs, this is definitely the case with De Gea and the fact he's won the clubs player of the season for the last 4 years shows just how crap they actually are. Take De Gea away and they're screwed.

Also, what is with all the Brighton ass kissing and celebrations going on now just because they've got 40 points? Saints are on 32 with 9 to play for. The teams below Brighton all have an extra game so how are they safe exactly?

They could still go down but since Southampton and Swansea have to play each other and they have a better GD than both (and Southampton closing against City) looks almost impossible for them to go down.

Your so biased at times it's unbelievable, why don't you just except the league never lies. United above you simply because we've been a better side than you in the league this year. Once again this chestnut if we didn't have De Gea.
Where the F**k would you be this year without Salah?? You really want to go down that pathetic path yet again?? We should be enjoying having world class players in our beloved sides not berating them.
      Grow up for F**k sake.

Ps. Thank Christ I have a wedding planned all day so don't need to indulge in your biased views ALL THE TIME!

The Manc is showing his true colours..

But it’s okay for you to say how bad we were doing in the champions league at one point after 2 games but once again you pick up on my post.

Not surprised you are being so sensitive though, having been taken apart by a weak team...yet again. Every team has a star player, the second I mention it being De Gea you start crying which says it all really. He’s won you a sh*t load of points this season and stopped you from losing 4/5-0 yesterday, why is it so hard for you to admit you are so dependent on your keeper.

You have a manager that literally slates his own players on a constant basis but you get worked up over me saying something. Pathetic.

Thank Christ all you like but its a Liverpool forum, don’t like it, piss off you blert.

Showing your true colors mate once a bitter Manc always a bitter Manc!

Stoke sent down after 10 years. Oh dear what a shame!

Has there ever been a team that has so failed to endear themselves to the Premier League as miserably as they have (apart from West Brom that is)? They're shithouse brand of football perfectly epitomised by that lumbering moron Shawcross. Nice that he finally experienced the pain of relegation that his thuggery has always deserved. The only tragedy being that it took this long.

Just a shame we couldn't have helped put a nail in the coffin last week but totally agree that Stoke won't be missed, neither will West Brom although I hope they can manage one final win against Spurs today.

Wow, the universal hatred for Stoke on social media right now is palpable. Don't think I've ever seen fans of all Premier League clubs unite in jubilation for this brief moment. Like the fall of Saddam in Baghdad in 2003.
