Huddersfield for me is the real success story of the league. 18 months ago they were trying to stave off relegation to League 1 and now they've confirmed their place in the Premier League for the second consecutive season with a modest team and budget. Wagner has done an incredible job.

Also, is Pochettino handing Spurs an ultimatum here?

I'm of the same opinion too. Excellent job he's done for Huddersfield over the last few years. If Mourhino was to leave United for any reason Pochettino would be my first choice to replace him.

The big issue now is how Huddersfield keep hold of him. Dortmund are managerless once more and you've got to expect them to come knocking surely. I hope he stays at Huddersfield though. You can see them and him growing as the months go by and it would be a real shame to lose Wagner from one of the best footballing stories in recent years, a story he has largely written. I certainly feel that they are the Premier League's version of Mainz under Klopp when he got them promoted to the Bundesliga back in the mid 00s.

There's a real togetherness between manager, club and fans at Huddersfield that is really heartwarming and the perfect antidote to some of the obtuse gaudiness that is desperately contrived between those three factions from clubs operating at a higher level, which is perfectly exemplified at Manchester City.

My call was made on who was available. "Hell yeah" course  I'd have Klopp.  ;D Sadly he's going no where.

Truth be told I'm surprised Man Utd never made a move for Pochettino when Van Gaal left. Wouldn't be surprised to see them go back in for him (as soon as next year?) and you've got to question whether he will remain at Spurs in the long term after recent comments.

Yeah can't see Pochettino staying much longer. They just won't give him the spending money or pay the going rate to keep the best players. His style of football would go down well at United too.

I struggle to see how he'll be satisfied. Given that their stadium complex costs nearly a billion pounds you'd expect Spurs to tighten their budget a bit in a way not too dissimilar to Arsenal back in 2006 although given that it's a wealthier league today they'll probably be able to flex their financial muscles a bit more. On the flip side, Arsenal maintaining a presence within the top 4 and the Champions League during that tricky balancing act for a near decade was largely down to the efforts of Wenger a level of managing that not many out there could have pulled off. Speaking of which...

Think he is a damn good manager, will be interesting to see how he does at Arsenal! I also wouldn't put it against him buying N'Zonzi!

Could have got a bigger name. And a better one too. Not that special so in that respect he was perfect for PSG.

And he has the most god awful hair do to have graced the touchline since Gerry Francis.  Pretty sure he dips his head in a Glaswegian deep fat fryer which makes me think he smells of onions and battered pizzas. The dirty b***ard.

Hammers appoint Pellegrini, can't see it ending well with the dildo brothers in charge.

Can’t see why he’d go to such a sh*t hole of a club. The fact that James Collins, who has spent over 10 years at the club, played over 200 games got released via email says it all about them.

Pellegrini just hoping to god that Sullivan's washed his hands there.

Good appointment. Really likeable guy and has done some brilliant things in his career. One hell of an upgrade on Moyes as well although as you say, with the dildo brothers running the show, he's a braver man that I've given credit for.

Remember when he was in the running for the Liverpool job after Rafa was sacked? I think Kenny met him face to face only to be shunted aside for number 1 candidate Roy Hodgson. F**k sake we were a mess back then.

He's far too good for them so they've done a great job with that appointment.

Imagine going from Moyes to Pellegrini.

Doesn't seem that implausible when you consider we went from Rafa to Hodgson!!

Am I right in saying Pepe and a few other players were pushing for the club to go for Pellegrini when Rafa went, instead of Woy?

West Ham getting Pellegrini is bad news. It means no chance of Lanzini coming to us now.
They obviously promised Pellegrini a war chest or he wouldn't sign.

Lanzini not coming to us can only be a good thing IMO.
