It would probably have gotten to the media anyways, and maybe the police would have done something about it.

Something of nothing. Can see why the club reported it, so they are in full control of the situation to get it over with as soon as possible, instead of it potentially getting dragged out to be something it’s not.
Bobby didn’t get a playing ban for drink driving so nothing will come of this. Think the club just want it sorted so there is zero distractions to our season.

It is more of a taking care of a public opinion on the club for me. It would get out eventually and club just took advantage of this situation to represent that values matter no matter who is affected. Public opinion and statement does not necessary needs to be the same as how this is sorted behind closed doors (which i think they told Salah that it is stupid, but they have to do it and it will be positive for the club at the end)

He is well known for hounding players for autographs then selling them.

Exactly. I have watched the 2 vids on it, and each time he uses the phone, the car is stationed, so I don't get what all the fuss is about.
