There's no way the club would approve of Salah attending such an event. They wouldn't tolerate such recklessness in Liverpool, so why Egypt? The only question is whether Liverpool have any authority over him while he is on international duty.

      I respectfully disagree

If you think mo would be go to his brother's wedding, openly have pictures taken that can be spread around the world in an instance without the clubs knowledge then I think you are wrong

We are in the middle of a pandemic, a pandemic that is killing thousands of people, we all are having to make sacrifices, that we don’t want to make. People are unable to see their loved ones who are dying, grandparents cannot hug or see their grandchildren. Yes, there are things in life that are bigger than football, attending your brothers wedding during a pandemic is not one of them! I have friends and family who are front line workers, they would be appalled at some of the posts on here. We are all in this together, we have to pull together, nobody who lives in this City must be in any doubt, this is serious, we cannot be complacent. Keep safe everyone, look after each other, we can beat this together.

For the record I'm not disagreeing with this, but I dont think he goes there and flaunts it if the club dont know

If they dont and he has, then he deserves the maximum punishment the club can place on him

I dont think that's the case though

Of course he knew Liverpool would find out about it. The question is if Liverpool have any jurisdiction when he is on international duty.

Yeah, cos when all the players are back Klopp is gonna gather them together. " Right lads, you've done a lot of hard work in recent weeks and I think you deserve to let your hair down a bit. Bobby, why not organise an orgy with the best local escorts. Hendo, go into town and gather up 150 for a rave in this big warehouse I've rented."

      Great retort.

You claim," he doesn't go there and flaunt it if the club don't know." Why would they approve that and not Hendo organising a rave in a basement with 200 randoms. What's the damn difference?

I don't think it is morally superior to condemn needlessly endangering lives.

Ok, so the Club gave him permission to attend his brothers wedding with about 200 others, no social distancing and Mo, the only one apparently wearing a mask, but even then not wearing it correctly! You seriously think the Club, who pay his wages, condoned that behaviour, I think not!

Exactly. I’m tired of people acting high and mighty like people are supposed to just put their lives on hold. Screw that. Life goes on, get busy living or get busy dying.

Get busy dying eh yep thats what can happen

Yea, about .4% of the time. But we should definitely act like it’s the plague and put our lives on hold indefinitely.

I disagree. There are things in life that are bigger than football. Attending your brother's wedding is up there. We're all human and I doubt he was breaking any national Egyptian laws (or at least I hope not). If the club has a problem with him then they shouldn't have released him to go abroad and play for his country.

I just hope he had a fantastic time!
I dont' think the problem was with Salah attending the wedding because like you stated, if your brother's wedding is on then you go to it. My question is more along the lines of why is there weddings in the middle of a pandemic? I don't exactly have a cristal ball but I'm tempted to say the pandemic is temporary, the loss of lives or severe health complication is permanent. Okay maybe you can't postpone it indefinitely but why is there like a bazilion people in the pictures walking around without any masks and even less social distancing?

All these questions serve no purpose now that he has tested positive and anyway can't be pointed at him, the club or even the Egyptian FA. Just poor management of the pandemic by the Egyptian government but then again, most governments have handled it poorly one way or another.

I’d say you need to get a grip! Are you aware we are in the middle of a pandemic, it is spread by people who refuse to obey the rules, who put other people’s lives at risk, just because they think it does not affect them! Grow up, you need to be taken to an intensive care ward to watch people of all ages fighting for every breath, dying, without their loved ones to comfort them in their dying moments.
I’m sorry if you find this an inconvenience, but I actually think we all have a responsibility to protect and care for each other, that is what I am doing, and will continue to do, you can do what you like, I hope you and yours stay well!

So this is what you meant by the "endangering lives" idiocy. Your worry is that not enough lives are being put in danger to justify inconvenience. Let's take your figure of 0.4% ( it's significantly higher, and by orders of magnitude in those parts of the world without sophisticated medical care.) 0.4 of a hundred is a small number, of a thousand is still a small number, of a million and it starts to feel like something is happening. 0.4% of 50 million is 200 thousand deaths.

Just a wild guess but 350 years ago not quite sure they had the equipment or resources to battle it and unless the weddings you attended  involved Mr and Mrs Rat not sure you could avoid it really
