So if we fail to win the  league by a point or two do we blame the ACN for the arse defeat?

No we blame the draws against Luton and United.

That one hurts, because the refs clearly fu**ed up and we could have had a very different outcome.

Similar to when we lost the title by 1 point a couple years ago and late in the season City faced Everton and at 1-0 late in the game Everton were denied a clear handball/penalty. Had the refs not fu**ed that one up we likely win the title by 1 point.

To this day, I'm convinced that if the refs don't rule out that Diaz goal and give Jota an imaginary first yellow which leads to the expulsion after the second, we would've won that game. The balance of play, even while they were playing with one more man was in our favour and we were playing some magnificent counter attacking stuff with the goal only a question of time.

I usually don't dwell too long on a game whatever the reason might be, but this one is going to stay in my mind for a long time.

We could but they'd be other glaring obvious choices to blame.

Such as why we waited until we were 1 down to play at Luton
or why Grav couldn't score an open goal to put the game to bed at Brighton when it was 2-1.
or referees and VAR for costing us by not giving us pens away at Chelsea when Jackson has his hand at shoulder height when he blocked  header going towards goal or against Arsenal when Odegaard stooped low and intentionally moved his hand to the ball or against Utd when Shaw clearly leant in with in arm to control a cross. Or costing us points with plain wrong decisions like confirming offside on Diaz when he was about 50304 yards on.

Correct. And thats why they made sure we went down to 9 and played till they won.

With wolves beating City that weekend us winning was not an option. They were well 'wined and dined' over there in the lead up to this game.

In your opinion, which you are entitled to. Football is immune to corruption isn't it and backhanders. That's just for other sports ... right. I mean what would we do if the game we love wasnt being refereed 50/50. Wrong thread anyway.

      Need him back

Finally our lack of stars caught up with us

We were missing around 4 first 11 players. Imagine if Arsenal or city had big 4 players out, they would have struggled big time

Thats a game you know there's a chance we may lose. But we should have beat them at home. We should have beat the worst united team I've seen at anfield in the Premier league era at home and we should have beat Luton as well.

Losing at arsenal is not the result that costs us the league if we don't win it.

The point was more about the actual performance rather than if it will cost us blah blah.

Loads of footy still to be played.

Point taken. Yeah we were awful. That's what gutted me the most. Huge game ... the world watching and we performed like that.

Anywho , to get on thread I hope Mo is back soon. He's class and we miss him

Just loving all the change room antics he gets up too.

You can see how much he loves the other lads and how much they love him. Him and Robbo especially like to clown around..love seeing it!

Have not seen the game today ... just the goals. Lovely goal by Mo. Vintage Mo actually ... picks it up, takes his man on the outside and lovely finish into the bottom corner. Fearing the worst re Diogo ... so Mo being back is timely.

Same bullshit doing the rounds, probably using same story in all the transfer sniffing beauts. Will be natural though as Salah is the one that we can get the most for in the current first team squad

His feelings were plain to see when he plundered the onion bag and left the defence for dead yesterday, didn’t look like the ‘want away striker’ the arsehole media would have you believe.

      It isn't but 2+2=5

Also going on the rumours still persisting about the Saudi league being after him. They'd love to make him the poster child of that league.
