Wouldn’t bother me if we signed him for a year only to sell him.   I don’t want him to leave but I’m really sick of players leaving on free.  We could see potential 175 million or more leave for free this summer.

Could sign Isak and Kerkez for that.

Mo left he pitch inconsolable and crying tonight.

      I think he's leaving.

Think ideally he could do with a nice rest very soon. Lost a bit of sharpness which has been masked by his penalty goals.

Hope he can leave with 2 trophies.

Yep this whole team is way too reliant on him.

One of Slots key tasks this coming summer is to develop us into a team that doesn’t rely on him so much.

I keep changing my mind on it all ,I've convinced myself on various scenarios with all 3 players....it isn't helpful but we are Liverpool FC we'll go on longer than any player.

Ramadan has come at the wrong time for our Mo, he never seems to do well when fasting.

Luckily we don't play another prem game during Ramadan, just one more fast left while playing for us in the final on Sunday, hopefully he is saving something special for us!

giving him a new deal (presumably multiple years) isn't straightforward. in this tie he hasn't been able to have an  impact against younger faster players. he's 33 in the summer. there is an argument to say thanks for everything, we win the league, you've been unbelievable but we've got to move on at some point, winning the league is a hell of a way to say goodbye. i appreciate im probably the only person who has anything like this opinion...... just saying its easy to see why the club isnt just handing him and VVD whatever they want.

It's very simple, unless you have someone lined up that can come in and somewhat replicate what he brings, then you can't get rid of him. To allow him to leave and then to have a sub par replacement (or none at all) would be unforgivable.

Seen it with bobby (nunez) and mane (diaz) may as well make it a 3peat. Who they getting to replace van dijk and robertson !!!

The shoot out summed it up. Salah did his thing, the others couldnt step up. Imagine where we would be this season without Mo Salah. Not even in the top 6 is the answer. Part of me hopes he goes now. Goes on a high. Imagine the fume on here when he cant carry us on his back and bail out the failures like nunez and diaz etc ... it will be all his fault, he will get the stick while the failures receive the excuses. No thanks ... id rather he goes on a high ... with a title winners medal he made a massive, the biggest contribution to.

This is the finale van dijk deserves as well. Go out on a high lifting no20. We cant rely on them forever. We need to rebuild.

Both have been superb this season. Thats how I want them to go out ... at the top, as winners.

Maybe next season Mo will not be able to replicate what he has given us this season. He's getting older and his physical abilities will be declining. We hope it will be a slow decline like Milner or Modric but it could happen quickly like Fabinho. None of us want to be paying a massive wage to an over the hill player who can't do it any more.

We can't predict the future but I can understand that the club will be cautious about their decision. It's almost impossible to buy a player who can replace Mo straight away but we can try to bring in players who can improve the team.

The 2 PSG games have shown us that we are very reliant on Mo for goals. We need to have more players who can contribute if Mo has a quiet game.

I hope Mo is at Liverpool next season but also accept that he is coming into the final years of his career.

I don't know that we disagree. If you aren't going to "take the chance" that he stays fit and firing then you need to bring in someone else that can get you goals. I highly doubt they will contribute more than one player to his position so you better get someone that's pretty good. If you can make up goals by bringing in someone at another position fine, but we have holes all over the place already.

      For the 2 legged tie.

27 goals and 17 assists tells me he needs some proper help!

With 44 goal involvements in our 69 league goals, it's been Salah FC. He has been carrying the load for the attack throughout this incredible season of his and must feel frustrated at times when he sees the contribution (or lack of) of those in the team. Of the other fowards only Diaz when he is at it is of a level worthy of his own.

Salah has rubber stamped himself as our greatest ever player this season, surpassing Gerrard, for the simple reason that if we do go on to win the league no single player to my mind has ever been as responsible for making that happen in the history of English football.

Even the much vaunted Suarez season (when we didn't win), he had 31 goals 11 assists. Salah is on 27 goals 17 assists, and he has 9 games left, and is 32 years old, and didn't have excellent backup in Sturridge, Sterling and Coutinho.

Without Salah this season, we at best are on circa 45 points and challenging for the remaining CL spots. What he has dragged out of himself this season has been extraordinary.

We are exceptionally lucky to have him.
