Hearing this bit about being injured from more and more people now. If he is injured he is not going to get better by playing a match every 3-4 days.
Every 3-4 days isn’t ideal but it seems the issue with his ankle is fluid. I might be wrong but with that case you need to keep it moving as much as possible and it just gradually gets better which is why he’s been able to play and it only really cause pain towards the end of a game. Klopp was saying it was getting better and better each game and then the Fernandinho challenge set him back.
Let’s not forget, despite this issue he’s still gotten important goals and assists and his stats are virtually the same as this stage of his first 2 years.
It’s only really been the Napoli game and the Brighton game where I think he has been next to useless.
I think people tend to forget that the year he got into the 40s with goals, the majority of them came after Christmas.
