Is it possible for him to be selfish in one game and not in the other? I think it is. Imagine life (and sport) being filled with nuance.

Why the need to call out fellow reds after a win?

Why the need to take these comments beyound what there intended for? Why cant I make fun of fellow Reds? I make fun of my brothers and am still allowed to be their brother. Imagine a world where people dont them selves that serious

Where are all the "Salah is so selfish" fellas at after today? You boys were singing a different tune last week, but 3 goals and an assist later and their back to "Mo Salah, Mo Salah, running down the wing"...... SMH

It's more of a case of him getting his head up more in the last couple of games.

Also its not rocket science that fans will be upset if he his greedy and misses vs greedy and scores.

The truth pal is somewhere in the middle for Mo. Hes got his head up and passed it more the last few games, and lost none of his threat for it. In fact he's even more dangerous when he mixes up his game.

For sure. My comments were meant mostly in jest, although there was also some shade thrown at few on here who said some silly sh*t and needed to be poked at for it. All in good fun. Football wouldn't be as fun without the people who find something to gripe about when there team is in our form. God love em.

Mo seems to need a game where he gets gripe for holding onto the ball too long or taking on defenders and not crossing to an open man to get his head up and start linking better with Sadio and Bobby. His play this past week was so good to watch

I have said numerous times now that he has been much less selfish the last 2 matches which has benefitted the team as well as himself, much much better from Mo

7 behind Toshack (96) and 11 behind Keegan (100) on the all time goalscorers list.

That's not a bad pair to be chasing.

Yes he's really finding his stride again, which coincides with him being more of a team player, in terms of passing the ball, linking up etc.

sorry, but he did, only the very blinkered can't see this. He is much better at passing the ball these last 2 games which in turn makes him more dangerous, less predictable to defenders who previously knew he'd rather dribble the ball into a blind ally than pass it.

Anyway lets just enjoy the fact that he is entering a rich vein of form. :-)

17  games isn't being blinkered the lad had a nasty ankle injury which you conveniently forget to mention an injury he tried to play with for a while. I hope he keeps being a greedy f**ker we need all our players to be greedy.

OK, I think you are just on a trolling exercise now, in the last two games he has been LESS greedy and consequently played better for the team and scored important goals yet you want him to go back to being more greedy!!

does my head in when pundits say we have been lucky with Injuries, Salah is perfect example, may not have missed many games, but he suffered aa lot with the ankle Injury, hes not been right.

And took him a long time last season to get back to his best after his shoulder injury.

Always the same with explosive players, and little niggle, knock, takes them right off theyre stride.

We have been lucky with, is, when salah, mane or bobby have not played great someone else has stepped up.

Mane been out for 2 games, salah has excelled.

They all bounce of each other, team ethic is amazing

I wouldn't say he lost his stride but he definitely hasn't been as clinical as we've seen from him in the past but that is more to do with that extraordinary first season he had with us. We will constantly be hoping for numbers like that but what we need to realise is that season the stars aligned for Mo, every shot he took was guaranteed to nestle into the back of the net.

I have no doubt he will end this season with similar numbers to last, if not better.

There’s nothing more blinkered than arriving at conclusions based on two games. Your opinion of the player seems to change with the wind.

Just look at his body of work over the season and the two previous seasons. Surely judgements should be based on that? He is a terrific player. Scores goals, creates goals, occasionally he can be a bit selfish and take the shot when the pass looks a better option but he pretty much guarantees 20 goals and nigh on 10 assists every season. He effects defences just by being in the pitch, they are scared stupid, they drop off, opposing full backs are less likely to get forward and ironically his propensity to shoot means defences cheat over to his side and it affords space for Mane and Robertson on the other side.

He also works very tracking back and pressing. All of our front 3 do TBF. Its a massive part of our game.
