It's because some people on that forum have been targeting some players for some reasons I can't understand. Unless the players they target are on a purple patch of some sort then they are constantly moaning and bitching about them. Now that Salah has signed we'll get back to the old ''but for how much did he sign?'' or maybe some ''his contract is causing chaos in the dressing room'', and once the season starts we'll get back to the moaning every time he plays more than a game without scoring. Mind you those are the same experts who were saying he's after the money, he won't resign and that he had been angling for a move and all that good stuff. They'll just pull the elastic in another direction.

Great news! I wasn't expecting it to happen, I figure it would of dragged until the winter window.

What?!?!??!  This is GREAT news!!!!  I was so sure he was just running down his contract, and the challenge of replacing him seemed nearly impossible.  This is HUGE!!!!

Well what good news this is.

Obviously a compromise was reached and common sense prevailed.

Whatever he's signed for he could have got more elsewhere obviously.

I've said for 6 months if he's not signed by June 30th I'd want him sold. I will settle for July 1st.

I said he was being greedy ... and driven by money alone. I doubted him and i shall have to take a large slice of humble pie and take that back and I'll enjoy that humble pie mixed with a few beers tonight. Is it a 3 year extension meaning he's contracted for 4 more years or is it a 2 year extension?

Either way it's great for both parties. Over tye next few years he is going to cement himself as one of the true greats of this club and he's well up there already.

Quite a few sources said he was gone and what a load of bollox that was, knowing how thrifty our owners are (being diplomatic here) 350k a week is a tall order.

I've always wanted Mo to stay. Wanting to sell a player to get money in to replace him and not let him leave for free and possibly walk up the Road to city is wanting the best thing for your club. I want that because I care about this club. If he wasn't going to sign I wanted him sold this summer. I'll always stand by that. I never wanted him to leave. All I've ever wanted was for him to sign a new deal.

This has dragged on well over 12 months. This is the outcome we all wanted.

I doubted mo ... I'm happy its all put to bed now. Beers tonight when the little one is in bed.
