Don't know who's ever said it's "all his fault", but he going from golden boot winner/contender to outside of the top 10 in scoring is one of the reasons we're chasing top 4 at this moment.

Its funny how his form's influence on the team results is very much analyzed and the emphasis keeps being put on this point by some people while going from playing for a top 4 team to a relegation form side influence on the forward is completely ignored by those same persons.

Reading some of the posts in this thread you'd think our other forwards have been banging them in all season and he's the odd one out when, in fact, looking at the numbers it's pretty much the opposite. It's like him getting a new contract is a free pass to say anything at this point.

He's not above any criticism, but it would also help that the criticism is logical and at least take into account more than just his new contract.The new argument is now ''but his goals in the PL''. You get the feeling that had he scored 30 in the PL and 4 in the CL instead the argument would now be ''but his form in the CL''. It's just lazy criticism instead of a more balanced form of debate where we acknowledge his bad form (by his standards) but also acknowledge the non existent support for the forwards all season. He got a new contract and so he's now supposed to carry the team on his own all of a sudden.

We got the 'one of the top 5 players in the World ' Salah on Sunday.
