Milly puts us 1 up with a clean pen. Actually keeper got close to it! Maybe could have saved it but it's in the onion bag and expect a few more now.

Good work by Ojo to win it, great anticipation and his pace completely sold the keeper who didn't even see him coming, knicked the ball off his finger tips and then went flying.

To add to that, Ojo has looked miles  better from the left as Mcarz suggested.

Keeper should have done better there, should be a 2nd missed penalty for Milner after the Saints one. But, got away with it so well in Milner.

Audio comm (David Fairclough) says Ojo the liveliest of the Reds thus far.

      Agreed?

TAA is boss at crossing, Clyne could learn a thing or two.

I'd say Firmino and TAA have been the best players for us, Ojo had the most of the ball though. Used it poorly on the right but much better from the left.

      Also Lucas has been imperious.

Forgot that CL qualifiers are underway already. Was about this time back in 2005 that we kicked off against the mighty TNS...or as they were known then Total Network Solutions! Gerrard hat trick as I recall! Good summer that was.

Milner totally asleep at the other end, Tranmere don't make the most of a free crossing opportunity from a free-kick simply knocked down the line. Wakey wakey!

He's probably trained at least once today as well as the match - so he may be thinking ahead to putting his head on the pillow.

Yeah that'd be right wouldn't it. Bit of an odd experience listening to football on the radio in early July!

      Oooh nice goal by Grujic!

I'll tell you what TAA's balls into the box have been handy to say the least!

Bit of a more casual celebration from Grujic compared to pre-season last year, when the lad went nuts, would have thought it was a cup final!

Just saw the video. Keeper guesses right but that's a pretty well-struck penalty.

Pure class, player of the half in my opinion.

Good performances by Lucas and Bobby also.

Thought Matip looked well off it, Milner was the same as usual and Sturridge only there in fleeting moments.

Hopefully see a couple of goals from Solanke now.

Lucas at the end there showing exactly what he does not possess anymore - pace. Luckily Gini and Matip got back in time.
