Just saw the Salah goal. The Coutinho pass was lovely but the timing of that run by Salah through the middle to connect perfectly with the ball was even better!

They seemed to connect with each other really well. Reminds me of Coutinho and Sturridge when the latter was at his best.

It's always nice to win a trophy of sorts as it does pick the the players & fans up. Don't be winning to many though. 

Until Karius can prove he isn't scared shi....tless of high balls, crosses and elbows I don't really want him anywhere the starting line up. It took Migs 4 years to finally grow some balls and show some dominance in the penalty box. For me he has earned the gloves based on his play last season. It was much improved.

Mignolet has shown he has deserved the spot, where as Karius hasn't - it was there on a platter for him and he couldn't take it. No good just waxing lyrical about a keepers' kicking. 

Some need to ask themselves, if Karius is a much more impressive keeper, then why aren't they confident they think he'll be number 1 at the beginning of the season. Simply because, he is no upgrade of Mignolet.

Loved seeing Jordan lift that trophy. Hopefully that's the first of many for years too come. I've missed the Streamers!!!

Wow, looking at the front half of our team last night, the anticipation of seeing, Lallana, Couts, Bobby, Salah and Mane all linking up together is f**king mouth watering.

I was hoping when Salah scored that goal last night, that he went up to Couts and said; "stick around bud, we are going to have a lot of fun running rings around teams this season and for years to come".

I'm impressed with:

The obvious: Coutinho and Salah because whatever they touched turned into gold as we knew they can do.

Henderson: finding his feet quite quick after his injury and played without fear. His passing is brilliant.

Gomez: he is playing brilliantly, he's playing for his life.

Trent A & Woodburn (and even Kent) have played some good football, they need to improve but quality is there.

Grujic: he has some talent and a shooting boot as well.

Need to improve:

Origi: he is not impressing.

Milner: he needs to defend better if he wants to have a play in the starting XI.

Karius: if he wants to be our no. 1, he needs to play with confidence.

He will never be as good as that ex Liverpool player,Sir Matt Busby.

Hope that this is a good omen, for the season ahead. Need to put some silverware in the cupboard.

might not be a glamourous trophy but its good for the lads to start feeling some excitement of winning something.  alot of our boys hasnt won anything major so hopefully it propels them to want more
