I'd laugh my cock off if we met Suarez's buy out clause and City met Messi's.

Let's hope they go for Mbappe...

But... but... we made enquiries about Mbappe, he's not for sale don't you know? Although there are still 28 days left so who knows.

Where does the time go; eh?  ;D

General Question, let's say Barca offer 150 million for Coutinho.

Do you think we should accept it?

No, because we won't be able to buy anyone, look how hard it has been so get Keyta, imagine how it'd be with the rest of the world knowing we have 150 million more.

I mean, 150 million is a ridiculous amount of money but of no use it its going to be kept in the bank.

No, because if he is 25. We would make more selling him at 27 for 250 million.

That's not a hope in hell the owners are willing or capable of spending all that with a month of the window left.

And, discussing the limit at which the offer becomes too good to turn down is exactly what they want fans doing as it helps provide them cover for yet another failure to improve our squad.

      So no, I wouldn't sell for 150m.

'We' don't need money... 'we' do need our best players.

      FSG logic:

"Awww shucks, Leipzig don't need to sell. Neither do Southampton. Guess we have to accept that."

"Oh you bid for Coutinho? We have no option but to accept."

      Just watch it happen.

Just watch people gobble it up.

80m+Suarez would not be enough for me. Rate Suarez at 50m now he is 30. I would not flog Coutinho for 130.

They have spent all summer basically promoting the idea that sometimes it's just tough luck and you can't sign someone.

Every single Liverpool fan giving into a debate over potential price of Coutinho is providing cover to FSG to accept.

Do you think so many Leipzig fans were giddily discussing their upper limit of a bid?

Or do you think most of them were posting on forums calling Liverpool cu*ts and wanting us to f**k off?

you think the owners wouldn't want to cash in on the profits of a 13 million pound investment?

Of course they would, they are cheap and hate winning or spending money.

It's our job as fans to want to win and see us competitive. And our owners have repeatedly shown themselves to be unwilling or unable to sign good enough players to make us better.

So selling our best player when we all we'll end up moving backwards overall is a F***ing disaster and I hate that so many fans are providing FSG cover.

      It's all relative.

If that £150m got us Keita and Suarez then yes, easy answer. If that £150m just sat in the bank earning interest, then no.

I expect in 2 years pound will have lost more value and inflation to have increased and Phil to have got better too. £250m in 2019. You have to remember that last season 50m was standard for a player than is going for 80-90m now.
