U would have us buy a striker and not address a replacement for us losing our best midfielder? The move isn't to replace Bobby but to do your best to fill the gap Phil leaves. Bobby is a fine player and Stu and Ings could provide sparks in the same role if healthy. Hell, keep Kent to come on as Bob's sub instead of sending him on Loan. If we sell (which we wont) the money would go to numerous places to feel need and depth, but striker isn't where we would start.

I wouldn't, he's just a kid, think he'd struggle in the premiership like Martial, we know what we've got with Coutinho and he hasn't even hit his peak.

And just imagine if we'd bought two top players every one of those 7+ seasons (not an unreasonable request for a team of our stature), and kept them, where we wound be at now!

There is the chance of massively increasing the status of LFC not only in a football context but with the challenges of the CL and PL massively increasing the club's financial standing.
If those players had been signed those challenges would be contemplated with confidence instead of the doubts expressed by many.

Especially when they bought the club for £230m and someone is waving £130m under their noses for just 1 member of the squad, albeit a very talented member. How much value would we really lose in terms of a sale of the club if Coutinho was sold, surprisingly little is the strange truth of it.

So if they wanted to cut and run any time soon this would be a bit of an acid test for their resolve.
