John Henry should tweet Barca '£90m, you been smoking the same sh*t as Wenger?'

He is more probably thinking, 'Jürgen, you stubborn man, what sh*t are you smoking?'

In a normal functioning situation where Liverpool had improved the squad significantly then I'd take £90M for Coutinho. It's probably a decent valuation. He's not better than Suarez and I dont think he'd set Barca alight.

But because the transfer side of our club is run and executed by bellends who seem incapable of purchasing major targets then they are in a very sticky PR situation.

Sad to say but we will never be competitive under our current owners. They could have a million-seat stadium and not be tactically astute in the transfer market.

      Disagree here JD.

I think he'd be a star at Barca.

He'll end up there at some point I'd guess so time will tell.

He'd thrive in that league, don't you doubt it.

But if Kyle Walker is worth 50m and Mbappe worth 180m, then Coutinho's fair market value has to be north of 120 somewhere?

      Why only £90 million?

Barca got a bargain off us with Luis.

Plus we know they have 200 mill burning their back pockets.

In the current market Cou is worth £120 mill easily.

Barca have been told by Dortmund they can have Dembeke for £135M so what do the shithouses do, yup come up with a insulting offer thinking they can get what they want like they have in the past.
Thank F**k we have Juergen telling FSG exactly what they don't have the sense to realise.

Get them to offer £150M it might be worth considering but bearing in mind we can't even spend our own transfer budget it would be a lose lose at this stage if the transfer window.

In the current market he's priceless, were struggling to get our two main targets signed, do we really want a 3rd :D

He can complain about his sore back all he likes for the next 3 weeks as long as he's still our player come 1st September.

We'd be forced to watch on as he won champions leagues and league titles, because I've no doubt he would be an incredible signing for them. Perfect fit.

For us though what's £120m if you don't care about winning trophies.

wow, just wow. what a statement. I wouldn't take 90m for Coutinho. Pogba was 90m. Mbappe or whatever his name is, will be 150m+, Neymar was £200m and RB turning down 65m for Keita, heck Southampton will snub 70m for VVD these days... Couts going for 90m would be worse than Suarez going for 65m last few windows. I am shocked about your opinion but you are entitled to it.

If Liverpool had gone out and spent money on the 4 or 5 £40-50M major players they needed then yeah I'd sell Coutinho for 90-100.

But because the club is run so shambolically these days - selling Coutinho now would mean our squad, despite promised massive investment, would be massively weaker than last season.

Not sure, is harassment a thing in transfers? because if it is and Barcelona bid again it would start to feel like it.

I understand the sentiment, that 4 or 5 quality players is better than one world class, but transfers don't typically happen like that. We were lucky to get Salah for under 45m. Now days you get 90m and end up with Markovic and Benteke type players.

They are getting desperate and with the supercup coming up they need big signings to appease their fans so don't rule a 3rd bid out
