I'm stiffening up thinking about how much fun that would be to watch.

Have you forgotten how we defend? Just thinking about our defence with that lineup gives me a mild heart attack.

You mean the defense that has given up 5 goals in the last 10 PL fixtures?

The one with 7 clean sheets in the last 10 PL fixtures?

      That one?

Like they say stats are like biknis..
Anyhoo, I was referring to the defence that let in 42 goals (16 more than Spurs and 9 more than the champions who also scored more goals) and the defence that could keep only 9 clean sheets last season.

If only I could understand this. But, it did turn me on nevertheless. :D

We play as a squad on razor's edge..whether it be on the defense or the midfield if we go off the rails we will big time go off the rails.

Not saying we don't need VVD or better quality in the back 4...that being said if we had 2 vvd and it goes off the rails we still will get hammered.

Team defense and a team result from pressing up high and recovering 2nd balls to the RB/LB being able to move on the attack and cover defense in a split second...any CB in this system no matter how good they are is going to exposed at some point during a match and things will happen.

We need better than Lovren...but part of us giving up goals is being hit on the counter or silly set pieces that hopefully a VVD or better can rectify.

Kind of what I said.. Heart attack moments, especially with 2 wingers, 1 false 9 and 2 AMs (not even mentioning the marauding fullbacks here).

If he moves, he's going to find his inconsistency is a lot more of a problem for Barca fans than it is/was for Liverpool fans.

Definitely, Barca even though a shadow of their former selves still like to keep the ball. Coutinho prefers to make things happen at a lot faster pace than what Barca players do.

It won't be long before the white hankies come out if Phillippe starts cutting in and shooting all the time or playing through balls all the time if they aren't on. He will have to learn to be a lot more patient and that might even detract from what he's good at.

Anyway my question is, is when does the Spanish window close? If he doesn't move tomorrow is the saga over until January or have the La Liga teams got a bit longer to unsettle our players?

Wouldn't sell him no matter who we sign. Despite everything he's one of the best in the league and will help us win trophies.

I'm more desperate to see us win the league than see him go. And also F**k Barca, cu*ts.

i wouldnt sell, sends the wrong message.

That's the way I see it, if we get Lemar and Dick then Couts will get his move on Friday.

      Why?

      Exactly right.

We have £200m to spend remember that wasn't dependent on selling one of our best players.

I will be even more fu**ed off with FSG if this happens and we get bullied once again by Barcelona.

How about spend the £200m and keep Coutinho and let him play with better players.

By handing in a transfer request & claiming to have back problem before start of the season suggest that Coutinho does not want to play with better players...
