Exactly. He's still got a lot to offer but it's a bit much now expecting him to do it game in game out 3 times a week.
Doesn't need competition as such rather than someone to share the work load with.
That being said he's not got loads of years left in those legs I don't think.

Robbo's contract expires in summer 26, I'd be happy to give him a 1 year extension. A new LB is essential this summer IMO to share the workload and compete with Robbo as the starter in the big games.
I think that the main question is, will we spend a bit more on a experienced, ready to go player like Kerkez? Or a younger player who needs time to develop like the Ajax lad? I think that will depend on the budget and how much we need to spend on other positions.
I think Tsimikas will leave. I like him and will be happy to see him celebrate a league title at Anfield but Gomez is probably ok as 3rd choice back up at LB (I know he's got a bad injury record and will also need to be an option at CB and RB).
