I do know that at Man City if a season ticket holder can't make a match they let the club know who then resell the ticket. The money then gets deducted from the holders season ticket money the following season which I think would is good and fair but can you honestly see FSG doing the same thing? I certainly can't as well as leaving a lot of fans very disappointed.
I don't know mate - I don't share your skepticism here. I totally imagine that FSG would do something similar to City and either reimburse or deduct it from future payments in case someone cannot attend the match and his/her seat is then resold.
I understand this will affect a lot of people who maybe share season tickets or those who use someone else's season tickets, and understandably those will not be happy, but then again, it's impossible to please everyone. A lot of people complain of members and season ticket holders selling on their tickets to tourists or making money out of other people - this sort of measure help combat that. I guess it also offers more tickets for the general public, and potentially more opportunities for new people to attend matches, as opposed to an ageing demographic inside the stadium. Pros and cons. I guess I'm just digressing here, I'm not in favour nor against it at this point.
