The 'as it stands right now' starting 11

That's my 11 and formation.

This would be my team for Arsenal at the weekend. Important for me that we play Origi up top, Firmino was an emergency measure when we had no decent strikers available last season. Given that we haven't added to our midfield three the way I would have liked us to I would like to Lallana play in there. He doesn't really score enough goals to play in our front three BUT he is hard working, will tackle and press and is a far more dynamic player than Henderson. I'd have Milner ahead of Moreno but I'm guessing he will not be fit for this one.

its interesting, but i think our problem right now is the same problem we had under brendan

our manager likes to play 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 how ever u want to call it. But we dont have the players to suit that system.

We essentially have 1 left back. If he's injured we're fooked. We dont have a right winger. Or a Holding CM. These are the same problems as 2 years ago. Still not resolved by the 'transfer committee'

i think we have the players for a 3-5-2 but Jugen would never do that.

The biggest question I have with that is if Origi would start instead of Bobby. As has been stated a number of times on these threads, it's good to have some options.

me too.  Though I think Henderson will actually seat deeper than Can.

I agree mate, that will be the 11. The Firmino false 9 approach worked well in the away games against the bigger sides last season so it stands to reason Jürgen will go with it again but I'd much prefer we played a striker. Hopefully Mane's pace will keep them honest at the back and I'd also like to see Wijnaldum get beyond Firmino when he drops off.
