He's doing better there than Can and possibly even Hendo has lately.

What I love most about Gini is that he just doesn't lose the ball

He's also got a much quicker release time than Can and Hendo do when they have the ball. He knows how to keep things ticker over at pace. Small change that makes a big difference in our play style.

Solanke should be 2nd on the striker list now.

The pressure has been immense and non-relenting in this half. Really impressed.

At least when you knock it slightly long or short, someone with desire and determination like Luis would try to get to the end of it by running harder forward or dropping back real quick to save your pass. It really has a big impact on keeping possession and maintaining the attacking flow.

Thats why Luis was Luis .

Great players create chances and make things happen working for and with the ball.

Sturridge unfortunately has gone to sh*te  ...waiting for it to be delivered up to him on a sliver platter to be be perfect.

Hints of a decent dynamic between Robertson and Mane this half.

Does Solanke make the bench for Watford? What about Woodburn?

      Great win!

Woodburn, Solanke and the pre season wiz Moreno really impressed me

Flanno didn't get the assist, it was Klaven. Flanno just trying make himself look relevant. I think a lot of people thought it was Flanno who assisted due to the way he reacted.

That's the thing about Klopp, his guys have come in an impressed. He has an eye for talent and coaches them to their talents limits. Solanke gets signed and immediately he leads the U20s to a title and wins the best player award. He has been magnificent in pre season. His success makes me excited for Robertson (a guy we have been hearing about since Klopp came on, though Rodgers liked him too).

As an American it also makes me excited that Klopp rates Pulisc so high. Haha. Hopefully what he sees come to fruition

Both. Woodburn can be used in midfield too. Lallana is out for a while, it is Woodburns time.

The lad looks promising, but him being 2nd after Sturridge doesn't say much actually. Origi is too inconsistent and doesn't seem to fit with the way we play, while Ings is a complete unknown now.

Yes, both of them. Origi getting pushed off the bench, not just on pre season form but on last season's form in general.

Lovern still worries the hell out of me. Weird set of circumstances made their goal happen, but one of them is Lovern challenging that shot with his weaker foot. Please get VVD in here

Hmmm - just saw that replay of their goal. I think Lovren should have cut that out.

Jeez oh - at this rate Solanke is turning out to be everything Origi and Benteke aren't.

To be fair he did bring that defender towards the goal to make Solanke onside.... but other than that, he's been pretty dire.

He's a Europa League/mid table defender but nothing more in my opinion. Capable of excellent performances here and there but you know 1 every 2 games or so he's gonna be slack and allow the opposition in. In truth, I don't see too much difference in quality between him and Klavan and yet the latter is generally regarded as the reserve CD.
