Brilliant, see Divock, that's how you anticipate a pass and it helps him beat the defender. Fantastic by Moreno that.

Unlucky Moreno, need more practise with the right boot instead of using outside of the left

      He's such an unintelligent player

Agreed, definitely what holds him back most.

His first touch is also woeful. Pure pace and power but he's getting to an age where we should be seeing more than that.

Another brilliant defensive master stroke there from our Lovren. Jeez, we start the league next week and we still make these blunders. Have we learnt nothing from the last couple of seasons?

Migs it bounced in the 6 yard box chest height and you don't come for it?

As for our left hand side, slicing through it, we have no defence from Milner/Can/Grujic, shocking trio in the middle that for us.

Yea I don't know why he's in there. I would have liked to have seen Woodburn instead. Maybe they'll swap second half

Definitely Mags, he's a quality player and will be like a new signing if we sell Coutinho... :D

Shocking defending and a midfield trio that just don't work.

Bobby by far the best player for us, Salah also looking dangerous. Origi should have a couple and was at fault for their goal along with shocking defending by Lovren who has gone from very confident before the mistake to a turtle retreating in it's shell since.

Has to be alarm bells for Jürgen this as this is Athletic's 2nd string and our midfield is so poor. CM and CB absolute must buy before this window shuts.

I'm worried Jürgen is too stubborn and it's Keita plus VVD or no one for him.

      So no one it is.

It's a real concern isn't it? We just swapped out 2 players in front and our attack looked significantly less potent. Nobody can argue that Mane-Coutinho-Firmino-Salah would be terrifying but how many games can we play all of them at the same time?

And as you pointed out, our defense and midfield looked completely lost out there.

Not a good sign at all.

Origi hasn't improved? Poor first touch and needed to take an extra touch or two which slows down our attack? These are nothing new but we can do better without them and at least show some improvement.

Agreed. His pace will give almost anyone problems. If he can cut out the bone head mistakes and commit to better tackling he could really help us this year (or get us what we are asking for him in the open market haha)

Origi looks flat. He is either to quick or to slow and his anticipation still isn't there. Also think our MF look out of sink. This group of guys seem to be waiting for the other to take the lead. Kind of expect that with this group though.

Arnold looks good. I'm excited for him to get this time to shine. Would love for him to contribute on an attack with an assist and show us he can do what Clyne can't haha.

Bobby's shown glimpses here and there but nobody in that half has been good enough. Moreno perhaps.

Think Salah has been our best player, and Can is a mix bag, he has looked good in possession, very positive and takes risks, but I think due to lack of playing in the #6 role and perhaps match fitness, he hasn't looked great defensively.

I still think people don't factor in how hard it is to play with a striker like Origi. When you get so little movement and so little in terms of dropping deep and creating it's basically 'give it to me on a plate' or nothing. Much like the last few months of the season where we played Divock and Bobby's form supposedly dropped by shifting out to the left.

The run makes the pass and that's why everyone's stats fell. Hope to see either Bobby moved central or Solanke come on for the 2nd half.
