The scariest part about today is how chaotic we looked.  Watford were so organized, they played together, and yet they weren't parking the bus.  Without the ball they held their lines, when they got it they attacked.  We play so disjointed, like a bunch of chickens running around with their heads cut off, not communicating, totally disorganized.  What the hell do we actually do in training?  how is it possible that Watford, *Watford*, can be better drilled than we are?

      It was scary.

Scary enough that we made Watford look "formidable".

Front 3 forced to make everything for themselves today.

      Midfield was F***ing useless.

If we finish this transfer window with this squad, minus Coutinho it will be a huge embarrassment and failure.

First game of the season and our bench already looks piss weak.

Get the cheque book out, sort it out!

That defence is soft as sh*te. Moreno and TAA far too soft, TAA inexperienced while Moreno is still an all action calamity. Matip the gentle giant and Lovren the busy idiot.

Mane and Salah are the class acts in this starting XI but the midfield is disjointed and they alone cannot do it all.

Piss poor and demoralising start to the season, similar to when we beat Arsenal last year 4-3. Sets a tone for the season ahead and the tone is once again soft as sh*te.

Klopp has to get us sorted out, especially on set pieces. Can't really blame anyone but himself for being the worst team at defending those in the league during his 100 games in charge.

      New season, same old Liverpool

It was a case of new season but same old Liverpool on the opening day of the campaign.

As good as Liverpool were at going forward, their defensive frailties - which arose time and again last season - came back to haunt them.

Klopp's side were behind after failing to defend the first corner of the match, unmarked Italian striker Okaka allowed to power home Jose Holebas' delivery.

In the space of 161 first-half seconds, Liverpool went from outstanding at one end of the pitch to atrocious at the other.

They equalised with a sumptuous finish by Mane, the Senegal forward collecting a lovely flick by Emre Can before scoring from an angle.

It was Liverpool's first serious attack of the game yet moments later they were trailing again after more awful defending.

The Reds' defence made a hash of trying to clear Tom Cleverley's low ball across the box and Doucoure slotted home from five yards - his second goal since joining Watford from Rennes in 2016.

A clumsy foul by Gomes on Salah allowed Firmino to make it 2-2 from the spot before the Brazilian turned provider with a delicious lob which enabled Salah, a £34m signing from Roma, to put his side ahead on his league debut.

It should have been the winner yet Liverpool's defence failed to deal with another Holebas corner, allowing Britos to score three minutes into added time.

That midfield trio and to think we had to witness some of the sh*te they served up last season. Think I might just have a little cry because it seems like we will be seeing a lot more of them!!!

Yeah our midfield were dire today.

Hendo, Gini and Can are all competent all rounders, but play all 3 of them together and there is a serious lack of imagination and creativity. Put Coutinho and Lallana in there with one of them and its not a problem [edit - in fact I think its then a good midfield]  but with both out we have a problem. Underlines the necessity of not selling Coutinho to me.

A top keeper would have been in control there.
And a top defense would have never let the ball get there.

Defence was pretty shambolic but Moreno and TAA did nothing wrong of note today. Mistakes were between migs and both centre backs. Poor organisation on the corners was nothing to do with trent or moreno either.

Klopp is sitting on the same win percentage as Rodgers at present, probably something to do with him still playing almost the same defence.

This team is quite literally spineless, and here we were hailing the signing of a winger.

But sitting with less points than both Rodgers and Rafa after 100 games.

This is one of the worst parts.  The starting XI needs to be gutted.  You could literally make the argument that everyone except the front three could stand to be replaced.  Can you tell me that Mignolet is good enough?  that Moreno, Lovren, Matip are all---without question---good enough?  can you even say with a straight face that Henderson and Can etc are good enough?

And yet here we are and our summer is going to come down to signing Van Dijk and maybe Keita.  That's just not enough.  We need at least four new players in the *starting XI*.

Paused the game at 88 minutes, just come back to watch the end and I had a feeling we'd concede late on. They're a joke, they really are. It's the same old sh*t from last season. What has Klopp had them doing during pre-season because it clearly isn't anything constructive?

I agree, Bobby might have had it if he'd played the full 90, certainly wasn't much between them. Really unsure what people see when they watch him, he won back more balls than our midfielders..,

Which is why he was the wrong player to take off. That sub and the final one of Gomez for TAA were both mistakes. Salah for a midfielder in the closing minutes I get, but of course it didn't do us any good in the end.

Well, at least we won't be falling behind Chelsea today...

      It's pretty f***in bad.

Chelsea won it last year cos they were one of the few teams that could defend. Ditto Leicester the year before.

Hopefully the Chavs defending collapses this season as well, but it's no good if ours remains sh*te.

F***ing shocking isn't it? The 3-3 draw at Watford perfectly exemplifies that. The scoreline suggests it was a quality match, the reality is that both teams were embarrassing with not one standout player. I would genuinely support a breakaway European super league. We could probably win that thing unlike this bastarding league.
