      Yea good point.

Think everyone would have taken 2-1 before kick off to be fair.

I certainly would have. Also predicted 2-1 as it goes

Trent needs to learn to play to the whistle rather than just stand there with his arm in the air and let the guy run past him. Really not confident with Lovren in the back line, same goes for Moreno.

I'm glad we got the win in the end, my initial prediction was 1-1 or 2-1. I can imagine Hoffenheim will go all out attack against us in the 2nd leg to get their 2 goals but I hope we can capitalise on that.

I know I'm being repetitive but I was already a fan of Demirbay before this game, but I thought he was by far their best player tonight as well. Particularly impressed me given the insipid performances from both Emre Can and Gini Wijnaldum. I am starting a rumour right now: Liverpool have registered interest in Demirbay.

      I'll take that.

Defense looks even shakier than last season though.

I'm even thinking the unthinkable, Sakho, I mean I back the boss but can't they just stare it out or something.... :lmao:

J/k but I can't cope with watching Lovren/Moreno and think in any way that we're doing ourselves justice.

How did Lovren and Moreno play the full game?? Did Klopp not see what we all saw?

It sure does, but why, I say playing Moreno and Lovern together is the reason, my opinion

Luke do we ever do anything easy?

Does away goals count in qualifiers?

Either way really really good result. Halfway there.

The one one mistake the young man made tonight though. My man of the match is Trent. Happy with that. Thought Migs was solid

Can't believe I couldn't find a bar in Berlin showing the match!

2 away goals against a decent European team I would have taken that before the start.

Might as well get back to the drinking,

      Spot on mate.

Huge sigh of relief at the end there. Think with 2 away goals we'll get the job done at home but a solid defensive shut out is not exactly what I'm expecting.

Have to give MOTM to TAA, but he switched off for their goal, he could have easily blocked that shot or stood the attacker up. Overall, good game, but we need to fix our midfield and left side of defense.

Agreed that the mid field duo of Can and Gini is just not working. Can goes missing, and Gini much as I was pleased to see his arrival, doesn't seem to have the drive that we need in midfield.

Mané would probably be my MOTM. Didn't score but kept causing them lots of problems, creating chances out of nowhere. Bicakcic will be having nightmares with Sadio for a long time.

TAA was doing very well, scored a brilliant goal, but was clearly at fault for their goal. It was more a matter of concentration than anything else - not helped by the fact Lovren was playing Uth onside. Don't even get me started on Lovren. Utter rubbish.

The sooner Klopp remembers the reasons why he kept Moreno out of the team for a full season, the better. He's been sh*t for long enough and does not deserve more chances. Time for him to go.

F**k it,I'll take 2-1 all day but should have been more only for some bad finishing ,we seriously need to sort that defence out though, they score &  we still sh*t our pants.
Going for TAA for man if the match
I could only make out the one mistake he made when he switched off for there goal but other than that I thought the lad was faultless.
      Get the F**k in.

      Mignolet bounced back well.

Trent had a good game but needs to learn from that goal. Shouldn't switch off like that. Stunning goal though and that's what we should be talking about in all honesty - 18 year olds will always make the odd error.

Lovren and Moreno down that left were an absolute disaster. Need to fix that asap or we will keep running into problems. Surely Robertson is better at LB? Or else why have we signed him? I'd be tempted to take Lovren out of the firing line at the weekend as well and bring Klavan in.

Midfield anonymous once again. Didn't think Hendo was that bad but the other two were shocking. Think we are really missing the energy that Lallana gives us in there.

Front three actually linked up and created much better than the Watford game but were a lot more wasteful. Could have put us out of sight but trying not to get too annoyed about it - can't expect to be scoring more than twice every away game (although with the way we are defending we need it!)

Should be a confidence booster for the lads this, really need to see off Palace so we can start to build some momentum (and sign some F***ing players in the meantime!)

To be honest he probably couldn't understand why he was so far behind him and onside if they were playing the line they should have been

Why the F**k Lovren was 2 yards deeper than the other 3 is mad and frankly sh*te... other three played a perfect line.

Lovren was awful tonight..  Moreno absolutely has no brain

Good result though..  we'll pick them off on the  break at home
