Ok, think we can all clearly see that Robertson is a major improvement on anything we have at LB, that's a relief.

That's not rocket science is it? Even I can improve our LB position with Albie and Milly playing there. And, I don't even play football anymore.

If it was Moreno instead of Robertson there, would have gone in sliding and given a silly foul

True, but with him being left out of the match day squads recently I was slightly concerned.

Ok, good three points. Now go buy some players so we don't get embarrassed in CL.

how much possession did we concede in those last 10 minutes - we invite pressure...control the rest of the game and then when we go ahead we give them the ball

Mane is just a monster, isn't he? MOTM with Robertson behind him. Also, something about Solanke I like very much, I would put him ahead of Sturridge for now!

His crosses excellent, decent shots, great runs. Composed, just some early poor passes that seem to have settled, definitely putting that down to nerves.

And in this crazy market he looks pretty decent value

      Solid debut from Robbo.
Big Dom classy when he came on. Otherwise a very disjointed display. Mainly due to a lack of composure in midfield.

Get the F**k in there, bogey team behind us!

That's actually a big result in the scheme of things, Jürgen has managed to rest plenty there and he's got the job done. Well in lads and plenty, plenty learned.

      Biggest lessons in my opinion:

Bobby can play that role in midfield no problem if we need it.

Solanke is well up to starting prem games when we need it.

Robertson should never be out of the LB position until we sign someone better.

Gomez has a big future at either CB or RB, going to be very interesting how that develops with Trent there, soon enough Clyne could be deputy behind Robertson until Trent progresses further up the pitch.

Watched most of the second half thought we were pretty good. Kept at it, was busy and inventive if not silky. Special shout for Joe Gomez thought he was solid and Andy Robertson who was a good outlet throughout

That's before my time, but I have watched them on DVDs. The thing with the midfield I mentioned is that I watched every game, and I lived and breathed that team with them in.

That's the midfield that I saw week after week when I first started going, that like yourself I lived and breathed with.

I nearly gave MoM to Lovren since he didn't create any panic in our defence but resisted. :)
