I always try to look for the positive in a player even if they're not one of my favourites but Naby just doesn't do it for me, even when Jürgen has given him a chance he just doesn't show any passion, commitment or willingness to get stuck in and put himself about a bit, we don't need or want players like that at LFC and there's a few too many at the moment.

What he has taught me is never to get my hopes up from a few YouTube videos.

Agreed. Thought the Utd. game away last year encapsulated him well. Showed a marauder and class player and a injury prone bust all within 60 minutes 😔

for 53m, I'm sorry we should have spent it elsewhere especially after all the hype when we signed him

      one of Klopp's flops.

      one of Klopp's flops.

      Hindsight is wonderful.

He looked every inch a £50M player and more when we signed him.

Hadn't worked out and probably the only real big money 'failure' in the last 5/6 seasons

Naby lad has been very unlucky with injuries. Cant fault him for that.

      wish him all the best.

Cant see him playing much more this season unless we are really struggling for numbers.

I love how folk slag players that get injured a lot, as if they do it deliberately and don't actually want to play footi. l o l

His time is up, but when fit and when played, usually he was good and tried to be as good as he can be.

No chance he is getting a new contract now.

Obvious he is gone in the summer.

There is a mentality element to injuries too, even Klopp referenced it when talking about Sturridge.

That is the exact issue with Keita

Some players are out as soon as they feel a little niggle , where as some will play through those niggles

      Possibly a wee bit aye.

But also some players bodys would probably cope at other teams\leagues but not our Klopp teams.

Naby will easily go down as the biggest bust in the Klopp era, but it has nothing to do with not being good enough. He's an immense talent and the perfect midfielder for a Klopp team, but he was never healthy long enough to get a long run of training/coaching and games.

When he was in form it made his transfer cost look like a bargain and it's unfortunate he's unlucky and/or hypochondriac. By now i have no doubt he'll leave. The relationship between he and Jürgen seems to have soured as he's not even making the matchday squad anymore (unless he's hurt again and i missed it).

Time for him to go and hopefully have better luck somewhere else. He's still in his 20s so should still have a long career ahead of him.

A talented guy who played well at times but not nearly consistently enough IMO; he rarely imposed himself when the chips were down and he has been quite frankly a complete shadow of the player he was billed to be when he first signed. Persistent injuries of all kinds and varieties haven't helped his cause. Big opportunity cost involved in the £53m outlay and £100k plus wages. I will be relieved when he leaves. It is long past time.

Had all the tools to be the perfect midfielder for us but to me, even when he was fit, I don't think he was as good as some made out on here.

Every club gets them wrong in the market and this is one of ours. Just a shame we couldn't sell him a summer or two ago for some money.

Buying him made sense at the time. He was pulling up trees in Germany and all the evidence was that he'd be a good signing. Didn't quite work out, partly due to injuries, but perfectly understandable that we signed him. The only really baffling signing of the Klopp era is Ox. £40m if memory serves? For a player with his injury record at the time? Naby was a different kettle of fish, just a bit unlucky from our point of view.
