problem with Naby is he is never match fit. I doubt anyone would say he isnt good enough but just when he starts to shine like against UTD he gets crocked. A fit and healthy Naby is a huge player for us

Thought he did well in the first half vs Spuds, but faded a bit in the 2nd - though guess not match fit yet after the injury layoff.
With lads out with covid, need Naby - and anyone not out with covid - to step up.
The problem was that Morton was coping as well as he could in that lone CDM position but at some point Klopp decided that it was enough and switched us to what seemed to be a 4-2-3-1. That's when Naby faded because him and Milner got pulled back deep in midfield to try and help with the counters.

Otherwise I think he played a good game, lively on the ball, always looking for 1-2's and not afraid to dribble a bit around the box or even take a shot. I thought he had a good game but faded because of the circumstances (I.E. being pulled back to play as a double pivot with Milner).

      Thought he played well yesterday.

Difficult day with an ageing Milner and young kid in midfield with him but I thought Naby played well.

Difficult for all 3 of them, they wouldn't have played as a 3 together before and it was a mix of a kid just starting to break into the first team fold, an aging player and an injury prone player. Don't think any of them played badly but none of them played particuarly well either. Average and disjointed, kind of what you'd expect to see in pre-season when players are first playing together.

weird how some of us see players differently.

I thought he was poor and he gave the ball away 3 times that put us under the Kosh.

I know we have a player there and I've been very, very patient, hoping he would be the midfield killer we have craved but he either just gets injured or is constantly trying to get match fitness after being injured. My patience, for the first time, is starting to waiver with him.

I thought he was magnificent last night. Imo, his A game is just as good, if not better than any other MFer we have. The way he can run with the ball and set players up is amazing.

Praying he can show this to the world and just stay healthy

Games like last night show you why this team was willing to wait for him. He’s an immense talent who unfortunately has been unlucky with injuries.

See some reports Barca interested in Keita [among others] though not until the summer.
Not sure how much truth in it though.
Maybe a swap deal with Dembele might be a good option?
Think the odds on Naby leaving this summer must be shortening.

Get rid of Keita asap. The guy is slow, soft (compare his drive for and execution of tackles with e.g. Milly's) and often injured. Yes, his ball handling is superior, yes, he can make this "Aw" effect, but how long is he here and how often did he make us "Aw"...not good enough.

Now is a good time because he's healthy. We will never ever get 58 Mio. for him again, but cut your losses and let him walk for 35 Mio. if he wants. If he wants to stay, let him stay and do not extend the contract.

2 MOM and a stunning goal not sure whether a pattern emerging but he needs runs of games and should be playing more in my opinion . Banned for their next game though now

Fair to say the Afcon is not as intense as the prem lge? Might be why he looks a different player?

I imagine there is a mix of things

Jürgen looks after him more because of his injuries and won’t risk him, as we have more options, however he’s his countries best player so their manager needs him more
Also from the bits I’ve seen the pace and intensity is far lower than the premier league

Not solely judging Afcon it is my opinion in general yes it is slower and that may be a factor but with no rhythm in premier league due to various factors this won't help

It’s league 1/2 standard football at best for some teams and it’s no surprise that the Prem players stand out
