Pre-contract, wouldn't leave until end of season.

Not sure Naby wants to be here, hence I’m not convinced of his “injury”.

That's a possible explanation but none of us know for sure. Only Naby, maybe Klopp and a few other people know what the truth is.

I'm giving the lad the benefit of the doubt. He's a professional footballer and I think he's trying to get fit. We do appear to have a problem with players being injured, not just Naby. They have had 4 or 5 very hectic seasons and a lot of them are starting to have periods  of injuries.

Naby has never had a hectic season with us

This is true but I assume he's working with physios and medical staff a lot. I was making a general point about the pressure the players have been under for the last few years.

Even if he's not on the pitch enough I assume that he's trying. But none of us know what is going on in his head.

Unfortunately we only have to look at Coutinho to see what injuries suddenly appear when their head is elsewhere

Barcelona were after Coutinho, very publicly and we didn't want to sell him. He went on strike and disrespected the club.

Who is trying to buy Keita? Who would want to buy a player who is constantly injured? Maybe he has given up on his Liverpool career and is happy to collect his massive wages. None of us know. If he wants to sign for a decent club in June and get decent wages he has got 5 months to prove he is worth the risk.

Correct. I just meant he would sign and signal the end after this season. Talented player, but very injury prone and seemingly selfish

I suspect so which is a shame as he is the perfect player for tbe system Klopp loves

He really was, watched him a lot that season he was on loan at RB Leipzig and was drooling at the prospect of him next to Gini/Fabinho. Never thought he shown the talent and ability that we witness in Germany, sure he has had flashes of good form (best was when the league returned from Covid) but nothing really special.

That being said there is something weird about this situation just makes you wonder if there is more going on. Reminds me of Shiqiri a few years ago where he was ",hurt" and kinda disappeared without much mention.

Think he will have a fair amount of suitors looking for him, see if they can find the player that was considered one of the best in Germany a few years ago.

Just a thought but any correlation he's wanted out since Sadio left?

Hadn't thought about that, but from what I remember they were close so it makes sense 🤔

Look he's been a disappointment overall - largely due to injuries - but some of the hate on him is bizarre.

Im sure he'd love to play 50 games a season and hit 10+ goals......but its not worked out (so far).

Treating him like a pariah just makes you look like a petulant child.

Defo something odd but clesrly hid physiology is an issue, perhaps similar to Srudge and his body will prevent his potential being realised.

Yeah I mentioned that a while back - Klopp highlighted that some players don’t play through any pain

Great.  If he's fit maybe we can sell him in January for something, if the excuse for not selling is he's never fit.

Would be amazed if any club would buy him in Jan when they know he will be free in June

Teams get desperate in the Jan window. Its a sellers market. Look at us an Christmas pud Melo.
I'd take any price offered and try recoup something from the grass kicker.

He could be included in a deal for Bellingham

Really need a midfield player of quality in January, preferably injury free, until the end of season, to replace Naby Keita.
