Awful news. Giving him a full season off seems sensible if thats how it pans out given the severity of the injury.

This lad was really developing into a real top top player and you could see how much he was now enjoying being a Liverpool player.
What a total bummer lets make sure we keep him in our thoughts and wish him a speedy recovery and come back stronger

Totally gutted for Ox, such a nice guy and a really important part of our first team. In some ways Iā€™m glad we didnā€™t go any further in the World Cup as that would just rub salt into his wound!
Hopefully heā€™ll be back sooner rather than later, and weā€™ll all look forward to seeing him back for the Reds!

      Gutted for him.

I wasn't convinced when we signed him but boy did he win me over.

Seems like a great lad as well.

My friend who is a Arsenal supporter said this about him during his time at Arsenal, once he found his form he would get a serious injury and have to start back over. Hope for speedy recovery and maybe see him back on the pitch at the tail end of the season.

How is the lad coming? Should approach his first training since he was beginning to run a couple of weeks ago. Any news?

Seeing that injury happen to such a top guy like Ox when douchebags like Neymar can go on the field every day and make a mockery of the game is just cruel. Hopefully his career can resume successfully.

Genuinely cannot wait to get this lad back. Gomez was given all the time and support he needed to come back from serious injury and Ox will be the same. Canā€™t wait to see similar results!

AOC comes across as an absolutely top class guy and I was completely gutted for him when he got his injury. However (controversial point of view alert, those of a sensitive disposition turn away now) I think how good he was last season and how important he could be to us going forward is slightly over stated. When he came into the team about this time last year I felt he could have good games like against Citeh but other ones where you didnā€™t notice him. I think absence can make the heart grow fonder and if weā€™re building him up to be more than he was last season thatā€™s going to do him no good when he gets back to playing....

Itā€™s a fair shout, not expecting him to take Salahs spot, but the idea of having him and Shaq as ā€œ2nd choiceā€ is a very exciting. Itā€™s just more quality to come in to the squad when we need to push on.

He brought something that we currently don't really have a lot of, and that is power past opponents and/or rocket one from outside the box. He brings a certain brawn to our midfield that complements this team. I still don't see how he makes any meaningful impact this season, anyways. Even after he's fit to play it'll be a while before he's in-form again.

It's funny how you can misjudge a player, and I was certainly guilty of that.

It's also very noticeable the difference between what Klopp has got out of him and what Wenger got out of him.
