And it was all of our own doing. The second most we've ever paid for a player and he's a bag of sh*t.

Any chance Chavs take him for  £35 mill in January?  :f_tongueincheek:

He had a poor debut no doubt but posters binning him off after 1 start.

He looked lost as if he didn't know what the instructions were, he was not the only one guilty of this in the second half!
Never seen him take corners for Arse so who thought it would be a good idea last night.

Was against his signing but like all players I will judge him at the end of the season after he has had time to fit into a new set up.

You're right. We need to give him a chance. Clearly he is not without any qualities at all, and Jürgen has obviously seem something in him, so he needs to be given time. No hiding the fact he has had a poor start though.

He was awful but some of the vitriol towards him is way OTT.

He was ok first half the whole team was poor second half.

If he's still sh*t by end of season we sell to Bournemouth for £20 mill no big deal.

Epitome of all that is wrong at Arse, was on display for us last night.
Poor play, disinterested, not getting stuck in, distracted (his tape/socks!? ffs).
If you dropped a zero from the transfer fee, based on last night, you'd still have thought you were overcharged.

Needs to do a LOOOTTTTTT better.

Isn't it funny how we all (me included) see what we wanna see.......

I thought the lad tried way too hard last night.

Whether he's good enough is a legitimate question and time will tell but there was nothing, to me, that suggested he was coasting.

Exactly. I have seen people say things like he didn't care, he didn't try. Complete opposite, as you say, he just tried too hard and everything he did went wrong. Is it nerves? Too eager to impress? (Salah had a bit of the same in preseason) Not fit enough yet? Too much to think about with the tactical instructions?

People were wondering why he hadn't started a game yet in the two weeks (including an international break) he was here, well, last night was as clear an answer as you'll ever get. He's not ready.

I hope he's tried out as a DM - he can't be any worse than what we've already got. I honestly think he would surprise a lot of folks.

Wonder if Chamberlain will start against Leicester.
Might feel that given injuries, and to justify the price tag, he should start.
Would be some vote of no confidence from Jürgen if he leaves him out of the starting XI.

I really have no idea why he was bought. It just doesn’t seem like he fits in our squad. He seems like a good enough fella. Just not sure he’s right for us.

He is competing against the best in the league.  Mane, Coutinho, Lallana and Salah.  If he was a goalie or a defender it would be easy but his position in the team is top end quality.  But that said we need to cover.  We need to give him time because he is getting used to our way and because we are strong in the positions he is going to play.

Hasn't had a start in a game that matters and already been written off.

There is a reason the word support is in 'supporter'. Let's give him a chance.

Klopp likes him and I trust his judgement over ours, even after the other day. Salah is already our number one goal scorer. Robo looks like he will be first team LB soon. Klopp knows his system and knows players, and so far they are doing fairly well at their new home. The Ox sucked something awful the other day, but lets give him time. I want to see him in the central mid field role.

The attitude towards Ox amongst some of our support base has been nothing short of disgraceful IMO.

he had a chance against Leicister in the cup, which to many fans did matter, he failed to impress.
