He did not play nearly as bad as a lot of u are letting on. He was our best player in the midfield in the 2nd half and was starting to drive forward and putting the Mancs under pressure. I can understand giving guys who played like crap a go (TAA) but Ox doesn’t need to be linked with Trent or Lovern. Thought his performance was better than most. If anything subbing him off only hurt our chances of winning.

Agreed, was surprised to be see him go off.

All he needed was a little guidance, a little belief and a hug.

Well and truly showing the player that people had hoped he would become but never did.

What a strike, pure power and technique.

Love how the ball fell at his feet, he was surprised but that first touch was almost instinct, as if his feet did it themselves, another little touch to set himself up and bang... the ball hardly moved as it flew through the air, sensational strike.

Remember when people were writing him off after a League Cup game at Leicester?

Feels a long time ago now.

40million for this lad who's still only 24 years old.... Doesn't seem so strange now.

Check out how Ox cheers up when he talks about Gerrard.

Don’t think we’ve got instruments calibrated for that. That ball teleported into the back of the net.

Not just writing him off, but couldn't understand why we were buying him and I'll admit I was definitely wrong.

Absolute stormer of a performance last night.

I was one of the ones that didn't like his signature, I was completly wrong and I'm happy that I got it wrong.

Only 24, I'm thinking he'll be massive for us next year.

The goal was great an al But after the substitution he when missing... And has got to learn to release the ball (should have feed in Firmino) and not try to seek the glory by scoring with every touch

I had my doubts about him but he seems a perfect Klopp player.

      Top top player.

I see him with Naby bossing the Premiership in the midfield next season.

      Well done lad

Pace, power, precision. He must frighten the sh*t out of anyone in his way when he gets going.

Did a fantastic job last night, was so happy when we signed him.

My dad and brother are arsenal fans, they can’t believe how great he’s been

Yeah - this guy is fascinating me now. I wasn't jumping for joy when we signed him but he's a becoming a complete reinvention of the player that he was at Arsenal in recent years. He's added real grunt and force to the midfield, of a kind not too dissimilar to Gerrard, which has gone some way to making up for the loss of technique and skill provided by Coutinho.

A lot has been made about the loss of Coutinho (remember him?) in the last few hours and how we are a much better since his departure. But how? Few can match Coutinho's skillset and ability to score goals from nothing but how is it that we are a better team without him?

Would we straight swap Ox for Coutinho? No.

Ox is a stronger all round player.

It’s hard to work out. Klopp mentioned that when he was playing he demanded the ball all the time and other players always looked for him when going more direct could have been the better option.

I F***ing loved him and gutted he’s gone, however we are coping remarkably well now he’s gone
