I've always liked Ox, and was very excited when we bought him. Even more excited when he lit it up that spring. Bummed to see him injured, and he was never the same, but that's football. Still found joy when he contributed through the years, and always hoped he could find his momentum and grab a starting place. He had his best run in a few years on the right wing, but Mo coming back sent him back down the squad and he never seemed to recover.

As much as a I like the kid, I thought he acted like a punk after AFCON. Seemed butt-hurt in all the celebration videos from Wembley, and couldn't seemed to be bothered we just won trophies. Don't like that

he is such a frustrating lad because the potential has never been met but there is still time maybe he needs to get nasty or selfish but I hope he stays and Jürgen finds away to get him to play like we all know he can.... but I will not be surprised if he simply doesnt show.

Very weak in midfield with Ketia, Ox and Thiago always injured and Jones not up to it.

I was just typing a post saying as much ... no need now. It's like an f1 car going into a season with defective parts in the engine, that you know are defective and certain to break down at even minimal strain.

I can easily see a situation in about 4 weeks time where thiago and keita have joined Alex in the treatroom room and we are struggling. With the CL group games rammed in to be done earlier due to the WC we can't afford passengers.

Not that I expect to see much from Ox this season being 7th or 8th choice CM but very disappointing for him to continue getting long term injuries. Must be a frustrating situation to go through.

Hearing he's out for 3-4 months.

      What the actual F**k?

He has had to tear it off the bone to be out that long.

A normal hammy takes about 2-3 weeks to fully recover.

This guy and his injuries, every pre season he looks like the player we hoped for, then inevitably gets injured and is out for months.

He needs to retire. Honestly his football career is going no where, and he will either drop down to a really poor team, run to another country, or just give up the game. He can't get himself free of injuries and he's never going to get a run of games to get himself good enough.

He's got a bright future ahead, but not in football unfortunately.

Grade 3 tear and you will be out for a minimum of 3 months.

Should have been sold last summer at the latest. Like keita he's leaving at the end of his contract in June.

If we hadn’t of given him an extra year of contract out of sympathy when he spent a year injured, we’d already be rid of him by now.

Nothing personal alex ... but your missus could have been lying on the centre spot today legs wide open and I doubt you'd have run on with much more enthusiasm than you actually did. Another one who should have been shipped out long ago. We are our own worst enemy
