Does he work for Alcoholic's Anonymous in his spare time, because they must be talking about different types of shots at this point, surely.

Seeing him turn out in a Liverpool top week in week out has turned me into a F***ing alcoholic. I mean, when that sh*t sack of spuds is Liverpool's goalkeeper you might as well just give in.

This loss feels a lot less painfull than the 3-3 against Watford and other loses over the past few seasons. Of course losing sucks and expecially losing 5-0, but Mancheester City were F***ing quality today.

We have no leader on the pitch today after the sending off, everyone was lost after that. Didn't we say some time back we needed a new captain? I was harsh on TAA but he is still learning but what I do blame is Klopp, for the third year running he should have gotten a pure DM that can throw a spanar or two at City's passing and to give TAA and the defence better cover instead relying on the slow Can, Mr. Side and Backpass and Mr. Invincible to do a proper job. If we had a DM today, we could have avoided 2 goals conceded.

Salah needs to do some serious shooting practice immediately. For the first 20 mins of the game, Salah had no one to pass to inside the box, Bobby all over the place instead of intelligent run into the box to receive the pass from Salah. Is it a coincident that everytime after an international break Firminho plays badly. That's where a 60 mil striker could and would do that Firminho can't.

Good to hear Ederson is back, just a couple of stitches, looked much worse than that.

      Great news.

And even better news is Pep has put him forward for a academy award!

Started well, and if had gone ahead, things might have been different.
But City have players with the quality to score when not playing well, and they did.
Then when Mane went off, we looked like we were there to dismantle, and so it was.
Even with 10 men, you take a defensive shape and be difficult to break down, but showed we can't do that. City have quality players,  sure, but Migs, Moreno, Klavan aren't qualty for a team who want to challenge, and TAA got a lesson too.
      Bad day.

      We lost 5-0!!
It feels very painful.. No fight, no pride.. In fact, it feels very much like Arsenal.

How much more painful can it be?

I think Jürgen Klopp is a superb manager but he underestimated the difficulty of the task on his hands last January and he did it again this summer.

Time to move on from that match but I find it hard to be very optimistic moving forward knowing so many of our issues remain the same, year after year.

Trents numbers for those that haven't seen them:

      Defending:

      Clearances 3
      Interceptions 3
      Tackles 4
6 out of 8 duels won

Now I'm not saying he had a good game on the back of those, but at least the lad did something to stop them or tried to. He could have expected some support from his defensive midfielder couldn't he?

Furious with our midfield 3 after that. I'd drive Can to Juventus the mood I'm in right now, I'd lock Gini in at Melwood on every single away game and Henderson... oh well it's just Jordan, we'll go again "or any other positive cliche".

I'm so sick of how weak this squad is mentally. And how we continually ignore our defence as if it's just a mild inconvenience and don't seem to work to resolve the issues there and just accept it as part and parcel.

Klopp and those players have a lot to answer for today, that was a F***ing shambles.

MOTM - Ederson. That reenactment of the Battle of the Somme was something else. Even took the time out at the end to take a curtain call in front of the Abu Dhabi faithful.

After clearing a ball, he was the only player who ran all the way towards the half line to do something with the ball...

He had a very bad game.. But, he is only 18.

Moreno isn't at fault here. Klavan and Matip are and the transfer committee.

      I didn't say he was.

Losing 6-1 to Stoke. Losing 3-1 to Sevillia in the EL cup final. Even the 2-3 loss against Swansea last season was more painful.
This was our 4th league game. It won't define our season.

Better to lose 0-5 once than to lose 5 x 0-1. City had a good day, we had a rotten. Stupid to get mad now, games like that happen once in a while. If anything then Mané's suspension will hurt us.

This game is very similar to that game, isn't it? Strolling around the park without even trying to do something. That's what is very embarrassing about the defeat.
It's not as if we weren't allowed to.. It's as if we let them be.

I will add the 4-0 loss to Spurs when we were down to 9 men.
