Bye, title, with City 5 pts in front already.

I also don't like our whole system: a lot of ball possession for too little "hot action" in front of the goal. We need to abandon the ball possession game. It hurts us more than it serves us. We don't have the talent, see City does score tons of goals with that very system, but we don't - even with Mané. And on the defensive side it makes us vulnerable for fast breaks if we lose the ball, because everybody is positioned high. Klopp needs to change that or this season will be long and his last, because we look like bound to PL midfield.

Also why is it possible for Burnley to defend better than us, do they have a bigger budget or are we basically just sh*t at attacking a deep  team?

Klopp to be blamed, continue to play rookie TAA not ready for 1st team and he has today again proved to be the culprit loosing the challenge that led to the goal conceded. And TAA ball watching from a corner and giving them a free header, luckily it didn't went in.

It's very poor there is no other word for it.

This is our ground and time and time again we get mugged off by these shitty clubs.

Fair fucks are owners are sh*te, almost everybody knows that. But there is no excuse for not beating this lot on our own ground yet we never F***ing do. It's not bad luck its bad execution.

We could have lost it and i'd be no more or less gutted if we did to be honest.

Absolute crap that, toothless going forward, just shooting from distance like the gaumless fuckers we are, sleepy at the back on the odd occasion they had to deal with a burnley player going past the halfway line and Ashley Barnes of all fuckers was shoving them around the joint too.

We have built one F***ing weird squad again here at Liverpool, it doesn't make sense when you try and bring it all together in your head and it doesn't make sense on the pitch, but F**k me we should be murdering them.

What the F**k is the cost of that back 5 today?

Istnt it odd that game management. When we are ahead, we can't manage to hold on, and when we're drawing or losing, we can't manage to score !
5 points off leaders with 5 games played. Looks like top 4 is gonna be s big ask.

Sick and tired of watching sh*te like that week in week out, letting in disgraceful goals, not be able to defend corners/crosses, teams have been setting up like that for two bloody years and nothing at all has changed, slow build up.play, slinging aimless, hopeless, no hope crosses into the box, absolutely pathetic, as previously mentioned the sad truth is we are not surprised, JK hasnt done anything to improve our defending and nothing has changed in our style of play to beat woeful teams like Burnley, another weekend ruined, thanks Jürgen!!!!!

Looks like it's going to be a long slog again to get Top 4.

Might as well forget about winning any silverware with that defence.

Club and Klopp have fu**ed up big time over the defence.

Win, Draw or Lose.... How we play matters and a plan of trying to outscore the opposition is not one of them.

A disciplined and controlled 4-5-1 performance with a 1-0 scoreline is better than the careless all scoring 4-3-3 counter attacking approach even if we win by 10-3. The former guarantees SUSTAINED success, the latter doesn't.

I like the way the game was handled and I like the subs made. Even though we did not get max point we have a better chance at success on the long run.

Yes but for God sake its the same year after year after f**king year, We control the game, have massive amounts of possession but don't trouble the opposition goalie at all. I wonder if we EVER practice finishing in training because we f**king need to and why has TAA morphed into someone who can't cross a ball all of a sudden.

So bloody depressing following this club, it just never gets better, same sh*t every year.

I disagree mate, it was our finishing that cost us today. 35 shots, 12 corners, 9 on target should have more than 1 goal to show for it.

Sturridge had 4 great chances, Trent with a volley near the end, Solanke one off the bar, Coutinho with god knows how many chances to put the right man in rather than shoot. Men over all over the place, it's just nerves and lack of composure that makes players not choose to pass and try to force it.

The anxiety of the crowd, their own personal anxiety too makes these players choose the wrong option but it has to stop because we could have had loads there in truth but the usual crowd will be "bus parkers, blah blah" when the chances were all there.

As for Trent, no idea what happened to his crosses today, guessing nerves and weight of expectation to be honest because he's shown he's far, far better than that.

time to start asking questions of Klopp. absolutely nothing has changed.

Should have definitely kept bobby in the centre absolutely negated everything good he does for the team.

Only changes really up front should have been ox on for mane.

But we ended up with sturridge who has been gash for a while who really doesn't offer anything Firmino does...

And Coutinho who should still be warming the bench wasting every attack with pointless 40 yard shots.

      F***ing joke.

Funnily, crowd got behind Pope's back and got him booked for time wasting.. But, Can gets into a fight in the dying minutes when we were looking for that second goal..

And, Mignolet.. Lesser said the better.. Pushes everyone forward and passes it to a defender.. Takes an eternity to kick the ball when we need to attack..relegation mentality is hard to shake off even when you have spent 3-4 years at the club.

Another soft soft goal conceded. For all our smooth attacking play the end product is missing most of the times. Both areas which could have been addressed in the transfer window but the manager believes there is no problem with the personnel and there are not many players in the world who are an improvement over our existing players. Either he had too much confidence in his coaching skills or he is living in fool's paradise. We have started resembling Brendan's era now with games just flowing by and no improvement being seen.

People say we have a sensational attack but let's be honest it's not close to City's. We miss far, far too many chances.

Couple that with our defence and what that leaves you with is another desperate struggle for a top four finish.

Let's be real, without Mane, our attack doesn't even look that threatening. We had to resort to shooting from outside the box and crossing from the wings yet again, just like last season. Sure we had almost 30 shots but how many of them were actually dangerous. The few saves Pope made the ball went straight at him.

Defending deep is always easier. We just don't have the creativity and ideas to break such a defense, City has for instance. When does Klopp realize he has to stop our game strategy? We have to play like Burnley: give the opponent the ball and look for fast breaks with direct drive to the goal. That is our strength anyway.

So between this game and the one against them at Turf Moor at the start of last year:
      - We averaged about 75% possession
      - Had over 60 shots
      - Scored once
      - Conceded thrice
      - managed 1 point

I agree mate, TAA was appalling, so weak defensively it's untrue, yes he gets forward, but he is a DEFENDER, and his crossing today made Clynes look good, he is no where near ready for premier league football.
