Brighton turned down £50M bid for Caicedo from Arsenal they want upwards of £70m same for MacAllister - you don’t get deals in the EPL.

Forest signed Gibbs White from Wolves for £42.5M if you want an idea of the sort of outlay required.

People shouting for Neves and Tielemans - you want another couple of slouches in Midfield, don’t you think we have enough already 🤣

I read Klopp wants Milner to sign for another year, is that the usual social media bullshit or true?

      It wouldn’t surprise me

He is a solid player. Provides leadership , experience and can fill in a couple of roles

We are on the edge in regards HG , if we loose both Ox and Milner they both need to be filled

We have spaces for the Non HG but only if we fill the HG ones

The bigger issue for the squad is if Kelleher and Phillips look for moves.

They will both move on - Kelleher will prob be replaced by Davies

But we will still need to replace Ox with a HG

      Agree with all this.

Brighton are the most difficult team to deal with when it comes to transfers. They will sell but not for a penny less than what they want as we’ve seen for Cucurella and White. I think they’d want 70m minimum for their two midfield stars.

I think Neves and Tielemans are decent players and would certainly add something to some of the better sides in the league but I can’t see how people think that would be us. We saw how immobile Tielemans was at the World Cup particularly and he’s really not what we need now. Neves similar although he does have a good work rate at least. Haven’t seen loads of Rabiot so can’t really say too much although he’s never really stood out the odd time I have seen him.

I wouldn’t say solid anymore purely on the fact  he can’t get 90 mins on a regular basis anymore.  However, he’s one of those players who deserves it  based on the loyalty/commitment he’s shown to you lot over the years. I don’t use the term legend likely, not even for United players but think he goes in that category for Liverpool doesn’t he?

Still means you could get Caicedo, Mac Allister and Rabiot for 150 Million.

It’s why players like Gomez and Jones won’t be going anywhere

And also why Milner May get an extra year

      Indeed.

I don’t see a Bellingham anywhere in there. Hard pass for me.

After the idiotic way the chavs just bumped the market up with their crazy spending I think some of the accountants on here should revise their pricing guide it’s going to be a tough summer , and we need to get very lucky or we’re going to be priced out simple as that .

The prices have been crazy for years anyway. Even with clubs spending way over the odds for the likes of Maguire , Sancho ,  Kepa etc we still managed to bring in the likes of Diaz and Gakpo at decent prices

Chelsea spending ridiculous shouldn’t change that

It shouldn’t but it does you only have to look at how much English players go for to see that , them rats down the east Lancs road will be heavily involved in the market this summer , and they don’t half pay stupid prices Harry Mg a prime example of that

English players have always been overpriced - it’s still criminal that Maguire cost more than VVD 😂

Crazy how much utter rubbish you post.

Rubbish is things like saying we've put all of our eggs in the Bellingham basket the past 2 years even though we went after Touchameni last summer

And some people were unimpressed when we first got Gini, it's there for everyone to see, which just shows how clueless some people are about how a player will turn out but that are still throwing stones when a player is mentioned that they don't perceive as quality, probably likely due to the potential cost not being high enough.

If Rabiot is someone we are truly targeting i would have expected us to attempt signing him on a pre-contract agreement this past January, though.

Just highlighting players that are available.
Could well be that business has been done elsewhere,
but excuses shouldn't be accepted if say Bellingham doesn't arrive
and the line "we couldn't do business for the right player" comes out.
There is business to be done out there.
