It wasn't a bad free kick, it was a great free kick, and if Coutinho scored it for us, we would be praising him not condemning the goalkeeper.

But he didn't and we are. He gets blamed for every goal that goes in, as does Migs. Powerful shots, offsides, fouls against them, the lot. And if they avoid those calamities, well there's back passes, punches, and kick outs to be blamed for.

We once had Grob who was known as "the clown". Wobbly legs, kitbags on his head, butterfingers on the goalline, that sort of thing. Despite all that, he played here for over a decade and we won everything and the kitchen sink.

I don't think we have the next Ray Clemence. But I am fed up of the same  players getting blamed all the time for stuff that isn't their fault. If you want to blame anyone, blame Can for losing the ball in the build up to it. You see, somebody different is responsible for a change.

      Really?

Jürgen's first home game was against similar opposition, Kazan, 2 years ago. The game went more or less the same as this one, with the same scoreline.

We ended up in the final.

Our job is to get through the group, and we're currently unbeaten and 2nd. We play that lot in our last game, and it's at home. The job should be considerably easier then.

The difference is this is our second game and it comes amongs a slump involving a lack of clinical finishing that has been going on all calendar year. People like to point to the total amount of goals scored last season but compare stats before and after January and you'll see an alarming drop off. The bottom line is we've won three games all season because of another Summer spent missing opportunities and buying the wrong players for the wrong positions. Klopp needs to take his rose tinted glassess off and accept that the defence, the goalkeeper and the goal scorers aren't good enough to operate at the elite level.

The Ox signing is making less and less sense by the game.

40 million spunked on a utility player with the scoring record of a centre half.

Indeed. Ox is the type of player you buy after you've secured your top targets, not in place of them.

So... anyhoo... beat Mariboopoo home n away then Spartak at home - 11 points right there.

We went through similar when Kenny was boss; couldn't buy a goal. I just hope it doesn't last as long because if your 'strategy' is based on outscoring the opposition (rather than solid, anal defence) then this could be a long, long season.

Our speed merchants are, by default, more suited to counter attacking. Take that away (by defending deep) and you've half the battle won... a lot of poor teams have long since sussed that.

Had enough possession and chances to come away with at least a 2 goal margin. Firmino just doesn't seem to have a strikers instinct. Everything else is top draw but he just doesn't score enough. Klopp has to make a decision, if Bob can't score enough and Studge can't stay fit, he has to go out and buy a proper goal scorer...not a winger..not a pacy midfielder...a proper bona fide genuine goal scorer.

As for Karius, his starting position for their goal was ridiculous, at least a yard if not more out of position. Non-league standard. The decision to play Mig in the league and Karuis in the CL is daft. How are the defense going to gel with that system. But both keepers leave a lot to be desired.

We can't keep them out and we don't score enough..hardly a winning combination.

Ox was a daft buy. If Klopp didn't have a specific role in mind what the hell was he thinking. I would rather see Markovic given chances. Ox himself must be wondering what the hell has he done.

We were lucky getting money back on Benteke, but if we get £25m back on Ox we'll be lucky. West Brom..Stoke..is his level..and almost every LFC fan would say more or less the same.

Typical European game, but we should have won it.
Had the chances, didn't take them.
At least we're making the chances though.

Been away and taped the game frustrating, what was Klopp doing his decisions cost us the game, he played the wrong keeper, he had only one save to make, he subbed the wrong forward Bobby had a stinker and he took Mane off. Corners were once again awfull. So bad on so many levels, every game we learn nothing. Watford, Leicester, Saville, Burnley all games we should have won......so frustrating WHEN WILL WE LEARN

He's already said Karius will be playing CL games and Migs the league games.

Poor Danny Ward will get no chance now to prove himself. Karius needs a full season playing every game. Should have given him to Huddersfield and used Ward as back up to Migs!

Than why keep Ward on the squad? I'm not getting on you, just asking myself really! If you are only going to use 2 keepers than why keep Ward on the bench?

Wish Danny would get a fair shake.

I think the idea was to keep Karius for CL, Migs for the league games and Ward for League cup games, now of course we're out of that he may have Danny in for FA cup games, sorry, but goalies shouldn't need changing or resting, barring injuries of course, Clemence never needed resting, Klopp needs to decide what his best team is and stick with it....nuff said.

All Klopp is doing by rotating not just two but three keepers is to make an all ready shakey defence worse
