      My closing points:

If Migs is negligent, Karius is a disgrace. Spartak's goal is on Karius. The game itself was OK. I always judge a game not by goals (because you can't control destiny), but by creating high probability chances (offense) and preventing the same for yourself (defense). On defense we didn't let them do anything besides this one damn free kick. On offense we had some good moments, the last one from Salah could have been a goal easily, also the direct volley from Sturridge. Overall we had about 5 high probability chances (one goal out of 5) which seems OK. Maybe at times our offense was too static, a point the bothers me for awhile now, but if we play too vertical we also become vulnerable for fast breaks.

Overall OK, but another proof of Migs > Karius. Maybe Jürgen thinks that Karius is better looking and wants to please the female LFC fans?  ;D

Klopp sounds very dejected. Feel sorry for him.

      Why?

We should have threw the 50 odd mil we wasted on OX and Robertson towards Aubameyang instead of pissing it away on people who don't play.

Probably losing over half a mil a month on their wages too.

      F***ing shocking business.

Ox sure but there was nothing wrong with the Robertson signing we needed LB cover.

Am sure they must have worked out everything at Melwood and to not get 3 pts that was deserved today must be very frustrating. The players really need to take the blame today.

Not at all. Not in the slightest. Those of us who have been calling for Sturridge were proven right again.

The All Mighty Firmino Believers were embarrassed.

Ehhh Sturridge was w*nk as well.

Lost count of the number of times was he disposessed in last 10 mins.

Although Firminho was w*nk today, Sturrdige didn't cover himself in glory. That sitter he missed in the 89th minute...

Not a dig at Klopp, but Utd would've put 5 past that Spartac team. We've got to evaluate our tactics again for the next time we come up against bus wankers.

In fairness though, I wouldn't have guessed that Spartac would be so defensive.

Id take his age into account and tge atmosphere there. Thought he done well not spectacular but well. Huge prospect.

To me Henderson only done what id expect from him on a poor day for him

I think that's generous and harsh in equal proportions ;)

IMO we need more creativity. Countinho & Keita should do that next season. And we could abandon our ball possession game and voluntarily give the ball away to defend high and get fast breaks - kind of like the weaker PL teams play against us, just that we'd have the quality to do more damage. But this kind of philosophy is not en vogue right now, ball possession football is like a dogma.

There really wasn't a dearth of chances created, was it? It was visible that Spartak was relived to hear the final whistle. They really were pummeled.... To a draw which was not down to the tactics.

We don't take it upon ourselves to play a possession game - it just so happens that our pace up front means teams will cede possession in order for them to defend deep and cut of the threat of our speedy front men.

Should be pretty obvious that really.

I swear one day we are going to score f**king 10 goals.

That's just it mate, all the negativity yet we're close to absolutely smashing teams all the time. It will click, there's no doubt about it, the thing that's stopping them is confidence right now imo.

They've took a few difficult results and they've taken a lot of criticism and the lads look a little bit nervy in front of goal right now, I'd just say to people to get behind them because when they're playing as well as that and absolutely destroying a team if it's just the clinical nature of your finishes that is lacking then realistically that's one of the easiest things to fix.

Creating the chances and dominating the possession is far harder and for more a barometer for how the team is really playing.

As you say, we'll smash someone soon and then we'll smash someone else because the lift and the belief that will give will release a lot of the pressure I think these lads feel right now.

At least for once we can blame the attack instead of the defence, some of that finishing and decision making in the final third was not even worthy of a Sunday league team.

Spreading goals around the team seems a bit silly now considering the last 4-5 games where we have created a load but font have a clinical striker to take advantage. Harry Kane scoring for fun I hear!!

We have this very problem for years and no change. Klopp won't change anything, but will hope we'll get more clinical and lucky one day and that's not the worst decision. With all fairness we got unlucky today, some of the chances we had would go in another day. Let's just be content with not having lost, at the end it was a road game.

I'm sorry, but just how many long term projects do we want at this club? We're full to bursting with long term projects, we have a veritable famine of established, experienced talent.

It's not about that though is it?

Firmino gets game after game after game. Shows very little.
Sturridge gets bit parts. 20 minutes + stoppages tonight.

You simply can't make a case that because Sturridge failed with his 20 minutes, Firmino's 90 minutes are legitimised. Drop Firmino. Give Sturridge a fair run and see what happens. Simply can't do any worse than Firmino.

Danny is not meant to be a "super sub". He's not designed to come on with 20 minutes and 'show what he can do'. Tonight showed up Firmino. Simply that. Fair enough Sturridge did nothing with his 20 minutes, but that doesn't negate the argument in his favour.
