      Simple. FSG out, we need to spend money to compete and they aren't willing. Lovren, Mignolet, Henderson, Moreno are never going to win anything. They are average at best.
      WHY MENTION FSG..?? It's like saying beetlejuice beetlejuice beetleju_ _ _

      We were doing OK when his back was 'injured'.

      Just leaving that thought here...

      Yes we were but we weren't sh*t then.

      That was crap. How come every defensive mistake by us turns into a goal while every defensive mistake by the opposition is squandered.

      There was a turn in fortunes after the last international break. Let's hope there is a turn in fortunes after this international break.

      Yes. The system of ball possession itself is OK, I mean look at ManCity, but you need to create more havoc in the box: vertical passes, one on one, double passes, crosses. I count 3 high probability chances (without Couthino's goal), but that's too little over 90min, esp. if your defense sucks. We'd need about 10!

      That drained the life out of me. Dreary game, Coutinho's goal the only touch of class.
      Newcastle limitied, but were well organised in defense and they stifled the game. And we weren't good enough to break them down :(
      Didn't have a lot to do at the back, and leaked the customary goal.
      We didn't lift it in the 2nd half.
      Another important 2 points dropped.
      Shaking my head here, just not good enough.

      Top 4 quality? I don't think so.

      We can be so poor at scoring goals. We can't score goals.

      When we are scoring well, we are also conceding so well. Ugly.

      Want good enough as a whole. I think we need to re-evaluate our perception that we have the best attack in the league! We clearly don't folks! Utd and City would've hammered that piss poor Newcastle team.
      Our defence (as per usual cost us 3 points, thanks Jürgen 👍) but our attack is as toothless as F**k. 2 shots on target? F**k that!

      1 win in what 7 now?

      ManU coming after the break, I cannot see anyway we can win that game , honestly.

      As I puke a little at the thought

      Our entire offensive plan has degraded down to hoping Coutinho can nail a 20 yarder. Painfully predictable in attack, and as usual at least one MAJOR F**k up from our D every match. We start every game needing 2 to win.

      But we didn't need any CBs , right?  Not one CB in all of Europe that would have improved the squad?
      Spend 40 million on Ox to sit on the bench 80 minutes, why did we need him?

      GK situation is fine , yeah?

      Not good enough. Yes it's relatively early but it's not top 4 form is it. If it wasn't for Coutinho we'd be up that brown creek.

      Hopefully Firmino can be a super sub.

      Oh dear. Turns out he wasn't a super sub.

      In PL, Firmino has played 472 minutes (5.24 full games) and scored 2 goals. 236 minutes per goal.

      In PL, Sturridge has played 265 minutes (2.94 full games) and scored 1 goal. 265 minutes per goal.

      Not much in that is there?

      Firmino has had 6 starts. Sturridge 2. Liverpool are said to be far more energetic and threatening at the start of the games, so advantage to Firmino there. Coming on as a sub (as demonstrated today) can be tough going.

      Firmino has now gone 223 minutes without a goal. Sturridge is on 189 minutes without a goal.

      Look at the stats and stop your obsessive and exaggerated agenda.

      Sturridge needs game time to get rythmn. The goals will come - unfortunately, his game time won't. Firmino is not the goal machine you want to pretend he is. He's had far more chances than Danny, and nothing much more to show for it. Mane and Salah were equally wasteful today - but Sturridge is the target. Quelle surprise.  ;D

      It's like watching exactly the same game over and over again. It's starting to feel slightly uncanny.

      The pattern every time:

      We dominate the first half, playing pretty good football;

      We waste several great opportunities with an overhit final ball, or a poor piece of decision making;

      Coutinho gets us a goal;

      We gift the opposition a goal out of nothing;

      We fade in the second half, struggle to get the pass and move football of the first half back;

      We still create a couple of golden chances, which we miss;

      We finish the game hanging on for the draw and looking panicky, rather than laying siege to the ( in terms of personnel) significantly weaker opposition.

      We get a point from a game we should have got 3.

      Mane crap
      Salah - dear oh dear. Does he have lead on his foot? How poor were his touches?
