Best support I can remember for a long long time. What an incredible asset they are to that club and football in Slovenia.

Not many clubs would have fans staying in the stadium at 7-0 down,
never mind signing their hearts out.

I think that's a bit more common amongst European minnows than it is in our country. Anyway, nice to know the feeling of a win again. Been too long. Hopefully this kickstarts our season.

Don't know about you guys, but I do hope Milner will win his way back to the squad because that'd mean we have a reliable penalty taker once again.  ;D
Remember when we were playing deadly football in the first half of last season? I thought Milner played a big part in that, with his superb delivery and work rate. If every team is going to park the bus against us we might as well use someone like him who can deliver quality crosses in. Sure he is not the fastest but it's not like the other midfielders are any better.

Absolutely.  Sang the entire timeā€”now thatā€™s a real atmosphere.  SOS and other supporters groups of ours should connect with their supporters groups and others like them to see what ideas we can borrow to improve the atmosphere at Anfield.

Also, itā€™s a miracle we were able to score 7 against them without Captain Henderson ā€œrecyclingā€ the ball for us.  Iā€™m shocked, shocked I tell you.

Not gonna say a bad thing at all in this game, but only good things :-

      1. I'm not surprised Milner fit in so well in midfield. He is used to playing at tight spaces and he's perhaps 3 seconds moving the ball faster forward than Henderson and that unsettled the Maribor defence. JK please use Milner in midfield and it seems to be working well.
      2. Glad we scored some good goals to take the confidence into the game against Spurs.
      3. Very glad also that Alex scored a goal in this game. Hope this gave him the confidence. I hope JK saw that Alex will unsettle opposition defence when he is used more centrally. That's where his strength is, directly running at and past defenders during his Arsenal days. I know Alex will come good sooner or later if he is used in the right position.
      4. Glad also Salah scored a few good goals from tight corners and his non stop running.
      5. Our magician, well, always truly magic with his twists and turns.
      6. Firminho is always devastating  inside the box and I have said that many times before and hope JK saw that. He's a Brazilian player it is that split second twist and turn inside the box that matters and Bobby could do that like any other Brazilian players do. Outside the box we're simply wasting his talent.
      7. Glad also Studge provided an assist.

Credit also to Maribor for a good game and no crowd violence.

      Bring on Spurs.

That Spartak win has actually opened the group and makes the next home game against Maribor a must win game again. No complacency on Matchday 4 please.

      Thought they were fantastic tonight.
      A credit to the team.

Deffo, the 12th man was definitely their best player. Kept on making noise to the end, fair play to them.

Not sure if Hendo played if his average position would have been as high as Cans but then again it was against Maribor, so can't draw too many conclusions.

Thought that was our best move of the night as well - would have been great seeing that one smashed into the roof of the net.

Not even wearing Orange inspired him - there is no hope for him away from home at all!

Itā€™s so annoying, I thought he was excellent against United, I think heā€™s a really good player.

He has this away game curse for some reason.

That may have been the worst side I've ever seen play against us... And that includes TNS.

However, the fact that we beat them by the 7 goal difference we were better than them is excellent.

All of our players were better than theirs, thought Milner was awesome but gave my MOTM to Trent because I'm made up to see a scouse lad scoring in Europe again.

Also Sevilla getting spanked by Moscow, GET IN LADS!

Let's stick f**king 10 past them next time!

You mean even worse than Arsenal? ;)

Personally, if Klopp has to play Henderson and Can then Milner should replace Gini - at least in away games where Gini just disappears.

Buy, I would never let Henderson near LFC again if I had my choice but unfortunately I don't. Klopp doesn't listen to me. :(

Disappointed to see that Karius didn't involve himself in the game.

This was his time to shine, and he did nothing.  :f_tongueincheek:

Yep - we've been very fortunate that in the last 180 minutes the opposition have been restricted to a total of 2 shots straight at the keeper.

Can't see that lasting long into Sunday's game.
