After that morale boosting thumping of Maribor the boys should be full of confidence that their scoring boots are once again aligned with the stars.
Will be interesting to see the lineup Jürgen decides to go with, Milner certainly staked a claim on Tuesday there again the midfield trio of Hendo, Can and Gini have mullered these lot on the last couple of occasions.

They are a good side no doubt however I think this could be decided by our subs.
Stretch them wide and often for the first 60 and esp if Aurier is playing I would get the ball often to Salah as he is a bit of a liability and after the tough game they encountered v Real look at injecting more pace after 60-70mins with the Ox.
I wonder if Poch will stick with the high line where we have really profited previously.

      I would go with

      Migs
      Gomez
      Matip
      Lovren
      Moreno

      Can
      Gini
      Milner

      Coutinho
      Salah
      Firmino

I'm keeping it tight and I agree with your back 5 but my front 6 is....Can,Hendo,Milner,Wijnaldrum,Coutinho,Salah.

Milner will give more protection to Moreno and will give us the edge in midfield. Klopp plays a 4-3-3 but this time I'd go 4-4-2 and play it tight.

Playing these at Wembley should be interesting. A bit more space than White Hart Lane?

Reckon the result in the European Cup this week will have done our lads a load of good. Can't see a great deal of chances being made, but we'll definitely make some and I think we'll be better placed to put one or two of them away following that 7 goal banquet we enjoyed!

Well charging forward taking the game to them with our back 4 playing a high line hasn't always worked. There are times in this league when you have to have a game plan and not just go at it off the cuff and react when it doesn't come off.

Klopp could do with showing a bit of diversity, little bit of guile. Give the defense a bit of extra protection. Been said that Klopp hasn't sorted the defense but probably playing 4-3-3 week in week out puts a lot of pressure on the defense.

Fergie hit most teams with attack, home and away but he always played it a bit more tactical against the other main title challengers. Klopp could do with giving the defense a helping hand to build up the clean sheet count. Milner would give that bit of extra cover.

Though our record against the top 6 is the envy of the other 5.........

How’d we manage that......you know without guile and all that?

      It’s a funny old game.

Spare me the Robertson shouts - that little piss artist Moreno has been spot on this season so he starts for me.  Plenty of time left for him to have a mare and Robertson to get the nod.

Tuesday was one of TAA's best performances this season - but I think I'd still go Gomez at right back - he had an excellent game against the Mancs.

Midfield.  Well out of the 4 then Wijnaldum is arguably the least deserving of a place - but can you make a balanced centre from Henderson, Can and Milner?  It would be radical to put Can behind Henderson but it's something worth looking at.

Up front?  When you break a 50 year European record and smash 7 goals in then let's face it - you can hardly go and change the forward line.  We all know our forwards are total confidence players so hopefully this is the start of a 5 or 6 game goalscoring streak before the next drought.

I'd stick with Karius personally, but our manager's a mad b***ard with the lowest defeat record of any manager since Dalglish 86-91 so he'll probably put Mignolet back in for shits and giggles.

Nothing to fear at Anfield South.  (Apart from Harry Kane with any chance in our area of course)

It's my big birthday on Sunday so I can definitely see a 4-0 coming for either us or them (I'll do a bet on both just in case).

      Milner > Wijnaldum

For the first team I think, Gomez, Milner and Mignolet should start instead of TAA, Wijnaldum and Karius.

Put superglue all over Lovren's shirt and stick him onto Harry Kane.
Do the same to Can and let him deal with that fake Deli Ali
      Should be interesting this!

Two teams, similarly matched, imo, in many ways. Spurs still not great at Wembley and open to the counter but is it in our 'makeup' to sit back, soak up pressure then counter? I don't know but I do expect them to threaten our back five more than those yellow cu*ts last week.

Jürgen's starting XI will tell a tale.
