Like many of you, I am not remotely hopeful of getting 3 points.
All I want to see, at the very very least is:
- a committed, focused and solid defensive display
- a midfield of high energy and intelligence
- an attack of movement and awareness of each other
- to test their keeper

If we come out of this fixture with all of the above and a 0-0 then at least the week of squad analysis and conversation in regard to last weeks fiasco and some defensive training will have amouted to something.

The club is on thin ice at the moment. We have to see some seeds of a positive evolution of I fear for many at the club.

It's a must win and because of that I fancy our lads to get the job done. They've just come off a big result but that's possibly not a bad thing for us. I think we'll see Gomez get his chance at center half with Trent at right back. Really not sure whether he stays with Migs in goal. I think today is the day to give Ox his first league start, regardless of whether Coutinho is fit.

Ps. I know it's not been going so well but we're three points off of a top 4 spot so things aren't quite as desperate as some would have you believe.

Today is a huge game, firstly it is a great chance to get our poor start to the season back on track, and secondly its a chance for Klopp to really show how great he is, as he needs to change something today, whether that is some players or slightly tinker with the system, as so far its not working, but I can see the same old let downs starting the game and same old frustrations.

Dan, you have obviously got a soft spot Mignolet (has he got anything on you?). Karius and Ward are both better than Mignolet. How much have we seen of the either two before making any judgements? Karius needs to be given games before he can show how much better he is than Mignolet.

Whatever your opinion is, we are 2 years in to Jurgens reign and this game seems like it may be huge.

We have better players on the whole than them, we are at home, he knows this bloke backwards (and vice verca of course). So it should be a home win.

This is why Klopp won't end the season with us. His inflexibility to adapt is unacceptable for us. We see it every time a sub is needed or a dynamic team structure like Captain, First XI needs a change.. if he can't make changes Liverpool can.

On Mignolet, he's should have been replaced, and right now deserves to be dropped - so (regardless of what he says to the press) either Klopp 'actually' does think he's hasn't been that bad (ie. is an idiot), OR with Ward injured he thinks Karius is not up to coming in. Imo it's the latter. Whether 'we' think Karius is up to it, is debatable - but Klopp obviously doesn't.

On Lovren, he has to be dropped. He was SO bad last week, you have to act when that happens. His confidence must be shot after the performance, and getting publicly critised by Jürgen.

On Coutinho, massive loss imo. Without him, teamsheet is bang ordinary.  Hope the lads can at least work their asses off and show spirit.

Tough for Jürgen today. No Cou. Under pressure to make changes. The more changes he makes, the more risk he's taking, the more likely we are to be disjointed trying to implement whatever new plans there might be.
In saying that, personally would like to see Solanke up top, Gomez in for Dejan, TAA in FB, Gini back, Can given a rest ... and with Cou out, kindof have to play AOC, who imho overall hasn't been good enough (the odd flash is not enough).
