                             Ward
          TAA     Gomez    Matip    Moreno
                         Gini  Hendo
             Salah    Coutinho    Mane
                          Sturridge

With Firmino and Lallana coming on as subs.
Though reckon Jürgen will start Migs :(  And Firmino.
Reckon bit early for Adam to start, maybe 20 mins at the end.

With Mane and Lallana now coming back, things starting to look better.
No clue if Lovren will start - I'd steer clear - but Jürgen does his own thing.

We need to go on a run ... so a win would be nice ...

I don't think we need to start Mane if he came back with a twinge and he was certainly not fit against the Hammers, he will be needed against Chavs and Sevilla so bring him on if he is needed.

Thinking along those lines, wouldn't rush to start Mane at the weekend.

      NB: Team no longer available

That should do it. Lallana to come off the bench around 70 minutes to get some game fitness as we'll be comfortably up 3-1 at that point.

      I'd go

      Mignolet

      Trent
      Gomez
      Matip
      Moreno

      Henderson
      Gini
      Chamberlain

      Mane
      Salah
      Firmino

      Bench

      Karius
      Robertson
      Lovren
      Can
      Lallana
      Sturridge
      Solanke

I think the Mane return was a political one and I think he's fit
Get Lallana on for half hour for minutes

I don't think these will be very adventurous so Trent at rb and Gomez starting cb

It's gonna be interesting to see if both Lovren and Van Dyke play opposite each other tomorrow in front of the Anfield crowd for the first time this year(I think)
Dejan Lovren as a Liverpool centre half is walking on thin ice and Van Dyke needs to show me and I'm sure a few of us what all the fuss is about..
For me, I'd start with the same 11 and formation as the West Ham game, although something tells me Southampton will bring a different bite to their game in midfield so If I was gonna change anything I'd check on Mane's fitness and maybe drop him to the bench and put Coutinho into the mix.

If Mane is fit to play and Mo Salah and Bobby F are on blob we'll destroy them.

Interesting to see Jurgens line up what with a tough one away in Seville mid week.

1-0 or 5-4 don't care, so long as we win !

Heard that Klopp said Lallana wasn't ready for 90 minutes, but he said that about Mane the other week and then he surprised us all by having him start against West Ham.

If Coutinho starts he needs to improve his win percentage with us!

Coutinho #10 and with with Hendo + Wijnaldum playing as #6's, then let Coutinho roam freely.

Klopp must be happy to have some good options to tweak personnel, formation, and tactics if desired.  He can field Gomez and Moreno at fullback in a back 4, or shift to a back 3 with the same players.  He can play a midfield 3, or a 4, or a 2-2-2 like against West Ham.  Coutinho can play on the wing if Mane needs to be tested, or in the hole if Mane is for.  Lallana off the bench is a welcome sight as well.

      I'd go:

      Migs
      Gomez - Matip - Klavan
      Chambo - Gini - Can - Moreno
      Mo - Bobby - Phil

We need Mane fit for the rest of the season, so I'd make 100% certain not to rush him back too early.  I think we're about to go on a nice run of wins -- I can feel it!!!

As one of the lads said earlier in the thread we always play sh*t or near enough sh*t, after the International breaks but this one hasn't really affected us as far as fitness levels go so there's no excuse..
Most, if not all of our lads had relatively easy run outs for their respective countries in paint drying friendlies..don't think any were involved in any of the hard fought WCQ play off games? Lovren maybe?

So, there shouldn't be any weirdness as far as tiredness and fitness levels go tomorrow..
We are playing on home soil on the back of three wins on the bounce.

Forster is a giant in goal and played a blinder last time he visited Anfield so we need to keep him busy all afternoon.
Our front three need to make Van Dyke's visit to the best stadium in the world, a nightmare and put him on his arse.

They'll come mob handed in midfield tomorrow and that's where their main threat will be trying to feed the skilful Gabbiadini who'll be up front on his own no doubt.

The way the game of football goes these days it wouldn't surprise me if Van Dyke got sent off and Lovren scored the winner in the 89th minute

Going to the game tomorrow, looking forward to seeing Lallana getting a run out at some stage later on in the second half, he'll be like a new signing, but after such a long lay off, I don't expect too much, it'll just be nice to see him in the red shirt again.
I need to keep my eye on Jürgen tomorrow as I don't want him getting to animated on the touch-line and ending up back in the hossie, I'm in the lower new main stand tomorrow with a different view to normal, be nice to see the Kop in full flow instead of being in the thick of it.
After the super win at West ham a couple of weeks ago, let's hope we get stuck into these pretty quickly from the off, get a couple of goals and we can chill slightly....enjoy the game everyone and fingers crossed for a very nice 3 little points.
Will be interesting to see how VVD plays against us, hopefully he'll either score an og, give a pen away or let Bobby and co give them the run round  ;D

      Matip out injured.
It's almost like we should have signed a CB as a priority in the Summer,
and not doing so would result in a painful season.

Klavan seems like a Costacurta figure between those two.
