England need some quick wickets tomorrow and I think they'll get them, its shaping up to be an interesting test and close series.

Lookinv like we need a few early wickets here.

So far though we are competing, Australia have to bat last on this so thats an advantage to England.

Pitch for now though looks very flat, and Australia could quite easily build a 100 lead by tomorrow.

Stokes absence is a real piss take, and I hope he is suffering sat at home to be honest. With him in this side the balance is perfect but we look a little light now.

This match would be completely different had you done so. Literally our only batsman batting like a true test player. Special mention to Cummins though for digging in nicely for a while there.

Because he has the same last name as Garry Lyon, ex AFL player and media personality. Just one of those things that has caught on.

This is where we need stokes to beef up the batting lineup.

Also I think Moeen needs to go back below Bairstow.  Bairstow is in my opinion the better batsman who takes less chances and Moeen is far better when playing with the tail than Bairstow.

With the sh*t cricket ball this lot use the ball will soon be dead for the quicks so its how we play Lyon that could drcide how difficult this a chace this will end up being for Australia.

England gave wickets away in the first innings, we cant do that here.

I think whoever is batting with the tail won't score many runs this series, whether that's Mo or Johnny.
More often than not in this series our tail will get bounced out for not many.
I think they will swap between them through the series as to who bats 6, Mo if they want to be aggressive, Bairstow if they are looking to be more cautious

Disappointing losing two but the pitch is getting quicker and that was a tough session especially for Joe and Stoneman.
Anything over a 200 lead will be good with them batting last on there..  with the scoring rates on this pitch that would take most of tomorrow to get 200 on, batting  last on day 5 will be tricky of we bowl well.

It's been a really good test match though and I'm hopeful of a really good series now.
Being in the Gabba test match going into day 4 is something positive in itself.
Aussies favourites from here but a decent batting day will keep it alive.

I am pleased that the  series looks competitive though, the day night test in Adelaide will be a pick em, I don't fancy us batting against Starc and Cummings on the WACA if it's quick and bouncy but going into Melbourne and Sydney with only one test in it will make for a great series

Hardly unlucky when you have no idea where your crease is. He had time and a day to sneak his foot back, instead just froze in position.
