N'Zonzi might be a good shout, wants to leave Sevilla, 28 and could give us 2-3 seasons in his peak playing the 6 role. Only problem is, CL cup tied, but he is a far better #6 than any of our current midfielders.

GK - Casillas or Timo Horn maybe. I'd have Reina back as well. Bring him back and give him the armband.

Casillas is perfectly doable, he wants to leave Porto where he hasn't played much lately. Apparently Porto want rid because of his wages, but a friend who watches them say he's still a pretty good goalkeeper. I'd sure have him ahead of Mignolet haha

He'd have to be as good as Migs...and his experience I'd think would be well worth it.

Me too Diego and I’ve never even met your friend let alone seen him with the gloves on.

      Haha ;D

One of the players on my wish list - FC Porto's defensive midfielder Danilo Pereira - got two assists against Monaco tonight. Not bad.

Strange one that, they started the season at  the top and had a decent lead but have fallen apart completely.

Think he's a very good footballer. Not sure if he's the level we should be aiming at, though.

Honestly doubt we'll sign anyone. Not even a CB. It would've been done pre-September.

A bit like ourselves I suppose. Tough when you have to constantly lose your best players and being outspent

We constantly lose our best players, yet again we’re facing up to losing Coutinho and Can this summer.

My point is we take these boys in when they’re young and raw and inexperienced, let them develop and make their mistakes only to lose them once they’re getting near the finished article. We will never compete at the top level for as long as this is happening.
Look at Citeh. If we’d signed Aguero in 2010 or whenever it was, even if during that time we were competing at the same level as Citeh there’s no way Aguero is still a Liverpool player just now. If de Bruyne is a Liverpool player just now the vultures are circling in a way they aren’t at Citeh. I know it has a lot to do with £, we don’t pay players £300k per week and can’t they way they can but it’s so frustrating none the less
On Can I know he’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I have him ahead of Hendo and Gini, Lallana is a different kind of player so for me he’s a big player in our squad

I actually thought you were referring to their form and comparing to us.......

But even in the other scenario Can is not anywhere near one of our best players.

We need to be competing to win regularly in League / Champs League to resist the lure of moneybags European clubs.

If we got him we probably would have the fastest forward line to ever exist.

      Imagine:

         Mane Aubameyang Salah
                   Firmino
                Keita Jorginho
        Moreno VvD Matip Gomez
                       Mig

Subs: Karius, TAA, Lovren, Henderson, Lallana, Solanke

Now that would be some starting XI and it includes losing Cou. Add a keeper and perhaps a LB, depending how Robbo and Moreno get on and we'd be formidable.

F**k sake Luke, you've given me a hard on reading that team, well apart from Migs & Bertie 😁

      Wish list?

GK who can command his box and organise his back four.

A centre half who can read the game and defend to some extent.

A centre midfielder who wont shy away and will stand up and be counted when it matters most.

A natural finisher, somebody guaranteed 20 a season.

I'd say we've got a guaranteed 20 a season in Salah already mate. He might even get the golden boot if he carries on.

Yeah it would be nice to have bobby behind a front 3 of Mane, Salah and a prober goal machine.

I can't help thinking what this team would be like with Luis in it or even Aubameyang.

It could be a whole nother level of devastation.

Lots of people seem to mention Aubameyang, but how often do most of you guys watch him on a regularly basis? I know a Dortmund season ticket holder who says he is way overrated and the majorty was hoping he'd f**k off to PSG in the summer.

Are we genuinely linked with players are is all just speculation? Can see that Lemar rumour resurfaced this morning, but I'm sure he'll probably go to Arsenal.

Abuameyang & Van Dijk in January, you'd have to pinch me.

Why would you assume he would go to Arsenal...money was on the table for him on deadline day and he came out and said he did not want Arsenal..that's why he's still at Monaco.

Just can't see it happening. Have a hunch that's all.

I'd rather be throwing £80m at two positions rather than another attacking option for Lemar. Admittedly, I've not seen him play that many times in real time.

You add Lemar to replace Coutinho; bring in VVD and pick up another front man and keep everybody else and we are looking good considering a mid-field of Keita-Lemar- (Choose one Hendo, AOC, Lallana, Gini, Gruijc).

      Clyne/TAA      Matip   VVD     Moreno/Robertson

                                Henderson/Keita

        Lemar/Lallana/Gini/AOC            Keita/Lallana/Gini/AOC

                    Salah             Firmino          Mane

He does miss a lot of chances, his off field attitude and love of bling doesn't help him
