Won't happen and despite the fact we're scoring for fun at the moment it would be Aubemayang.

So you predict we will be more active than we were in the summer, with a third of the time to get things done? That’s optimism.

      Agree.

I'd be surprised if we sign anyone and amazed if we did sign more than one.

We're on a great run of form right now and January is an ideal time to build on this but we as a club seem to back down on transfer activity when things are going well.

Aren't wish lists inherently optimistic?  😉

Think they're all moderately realistic targets, thinking of January. We'll sign none of them, I'm just bored.

GK: Rui Patrício (Sporting), Alisson (Roma)
CB: Virgil van Dijk (Southampton), Nico Elvedi (Borussia Monchengladbach), Yerry Mina (Palmeiras), Stefan de Vrij (Lazio)
DM: Danilo Pereira (Porto), William Carvalho (Sporting), Fabinho (Monaco)
CM/AM: Kerem Demirbay (Hoffenheim), Nadiem Amiri (Hoffenheim), Leon Goretzka (Schalke 04), Arthur (Grêmio)
      FW: Kevin Volland (Leverkusen)

I very much doubt we will be signing anyone left in the Champions League

VVD and Aumambeyang on loan, that would do for me until the summer.

Since we are wishing.....VVD or Tah (neither happening) or both (really not happening)

CM - Vidal or Hamsik maybe. We have Keita coming so someone that would pair well with him next year. Erikson would replace Coutinho nicely.

GK - Casillas or Timo Horn maybe. I'd have Reina back as well. Bring him back and give him the armband.

In actuality, if we could get Lallana fit, with Ox onboard now and Keita coming, we probably aren't too bad off in midfield. Our scoring options are pretty thick right now as well. We really just need to shore up Central Defense and GK.

N'Zonzi might be a good shout, wants to leave Sevilla, 28 and could give us 2-3 seasons in his peak playing the 6 role. Only problem is, CL cup tied, but he is a far better #6 than any of our current midfielders.

Casillas is perfectly doable, he wants to leave Porto where he hasn't played much lately. Apparently Porto want rid because of his wages, but a friend who watches them say he's still a pretty good goalkeeper. I'd sure have him ahead of Mignolet haha

He'd have to be as good as Migs...and his experience I'd think would be well worth it.

Me too Diego and I’ve never even met your friend let alone seen him with the gloves on.

      Haha ;D

One of the players on my wish list - FC Porto's defensive midfielder Danilo Pereira - got two assists against Monaco tonight. Not bad.

Strange one that, they started the season at  the top and had a decent lead but have fallen apart completely.

Think he's a very good footballer. Not sure if he's the level we should be aiming at, though.

Honestly doubt we'll sign anyone. Not even a CB. It would've been done pre-September.

A bit like ourselves I suppose. Tough when you have to constantly lose your best players and being outspent

      What do you mean?
We constantly lose our best players, yet again we’re facing up to losing Coutinho and Can this summer.

My point is we take these boys in when they’re young and raw and inexperienced, let them develop and make their mistakes only to lose them once they’re getting near the finished article. We will never compete at the top level for as long as this is happening.
Look at Citeh. If we’d signed Aguero in 2010 or whenever it was, even if during that time we were competing at the same level as Citeh there’s no way Aguero is still a Liverpool player just now. If de Bruyne is a Liverpool player just now the vultures are circling in a way they aren’t at Citeh. I know it has a lot to do with £, we don’t pay players £300k per week and can’t they way they can but it’s so frustrating none the less
On Can I know he’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I have him ahead of Hendo and Gini, Lallana is a different kind of player so for me he’s a big player in our squad
