No idea if there's anything in it, but would explain why he has only featured at home against Palace and Burnley where he was given some protection by Milner for example in the Palace game and where we barely had any defending to do.

Yeh I’ve heard some of the noise - I still believe he’ll come good. He has a far superior footballing (inc. defensive) brain than Bertie.

Exceptional at International level - I know a bit about him from having been a coach at the Boys Club he came through (albeit he was a few years before).

Time will tell but he will be a star somewhere.

It will interesting to see how we line out. My guess is 4 - 2 - 3 - 1: Firmino pulling the strings in the middle of the 3, just behind Dom and the other two hitting the line, as much as possible for 'crosses'.

Maybe too many changes [personnel & formation] to be expecting too much but I am, genuinely, intrigued and looking forward to this set up.

Actually, looking at it again, think this could be a 3-5-2?

Back three, Moreno and Chamberlain wingbacks, Can and Wijnaldum in front of the defence, Firmino #10, Solanke and Mane as a pair up top. I quite like that, similar tactics as we used last season when we beat them and looks similar to what we did against West Ham.

Firmino could be our link between midfield and attack today, plus his extra workrate in midfield could help too. Moreno and Chamberlain providing the crosses for Solanke.

Could be anything really, our formation changes a lot.

Great thing about having Ox and Firmino in the team is that we can revert to a 442 if those fuckers are parking the bus, that or 433 to get hold of the middle and control the game. I think it could be 352 until things settle, then a change in formation

Really happy to see Solanke, think he'll be brilliant in time and needs minutes. Him and Firmino were fantastic together last time they played, let's see that same chemistry!

Interesting selection. Will miss Salah's goals, and with Cou also on bench, need someone else to step up. Mane hasn't been in great form, so might be a chance for Solanke to show he can get on the scoresheet.
The concern would be that with AOC in midfield (who hasn't impressed me to date) it's left to Can and Gini to 'do the work', which is not a problem when we're on the front foot, but can be a big problem if not.
Moreno, Lovren and Mignolet back in the same team, so just hope we don't come under any sustained pressure.
At least we have Salah and Cou to come on if need a goal..

Really hoping to see something from Solanke. He looks a bit slow with ball at feet and in tight spaces sometimes, but with a bit of time and space he can take a chance, and he offers more physicality than Studge.
