Hat trick hero Couts was terrific all game. Bob, well just incredible work rate offensively and defensively.
His performance would win it on any other day, but gone for Couts due to the absolute magic he displayed on the touch line second half to turn one player inside out and two others out of the game.

Some of our pass n movement was brilliant to watch especially in the second half.

I'd like Basel as I think it would be the weakest possible opponent, and I'd feel a bit more relaxed about getting into the Quarter Finals... and then, when you get that far, anything can happen, especially with the quality we have.

Sure, we have the quality to beat anyone on our day, but a bit of luck in the draw can't hurt. A couple of seasons ago Real Madrid got very lucky with the draw and ended up in the final without playing any of the top sides. In the end they won it, and I'm probably the only person who remembers this detail.

It’s a good shout Diego and I partially agree.

Its just I try not to overthink draws to be honest. 180 minutes minimum to beat someone is ample - if we’re good enough.

The problem is that we also have the "quality" to botch a 3-0 against a not-so-special team. But who knows how we will look in March and how our opponent will look then. Imagine we get Real and Ronaldo, Ramos and Kroos get injured or into jail for tax frauds....
